COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Is it just my imagination," queried old Santa, surveying the scene, "or is my Elf only getting worse and worse every year? What’s next? Seriously Bad Elf, I’ll wager. Mark my words."

This Very Bad Elf is one fine ale - rich, hardy, and flavorful, brewed to an original 1795 Thames Valley recipe, with a very special pale amber malt that is rarely used nowadays, and balanced by a modest addition of English Fuggle aroma hops. ’Ere’s to your elf!

From the bottle, pours a clear reddish golden with a resilient white head. Corny aroma. Taste is mostly malty, a hint of holiday spices but mostly corny malty. Fairly smooth. Ok beer.

Amber, flattish with slight head. Quite a heavy caramel, toffee flavour, some diacetyl, pretty sweet and sticky. The alcohol pops up toward the close.

a bit like weak cough syrup it is slick and sweet with a cherryish flavor. mellow and warming nature here only serves to reaffirm my first impression. looks kinda like cough syrup as it is a bit reddish tinged.

Tasted from the bottle, on 28/11/2012. Pours of crystal clear straw color, with an ok head. Aroma is lolipops but quite chemical. Taste is super plain, boozy in the end. Aftertaste is again chemical and soapy. Not recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Thin white head. Amber body. Candied fruits, wheat, tangerine. Sweet. Dry finish. Dirty mouthfeel.

16.9 oz from Gravity Beer Market in Olympia @$5.99. Tasty little bugger. No real aroma to speak of. Looks like a copper sunset. Taste mild cereal and caramel corn. Pleasant, though definitely present, hop presence in the finish with a hint of alcohol heat. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small tan head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is caramel, nutty, bready. Flavor is the same with some grassy undertones. Quite sweet and light underlying bitterness. Medium body.

Cloudy amber/orange pour, minimal head. Aroma has lots of spice, a little fruit and caramel. Sweet taste, flavors follow the aroma.

Aromas ligeros, complejos y no tan intensos.
