"Dolden Sud" is the newest specialty beer from Riedenburger Brauhaus. Selected aroma hops give the beer a fruity and sweet aroma. The body of the fine Riedenburger’s summer barley malt, the bitter hop taste, and the exceptional spicy yeastyness form an luscious alliance of taste.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2016 Bottle bought at alnatura. Pours golden yellow. Heavy carbonation. Smells of apricot with hints of other Summer fruits. Same notes in the taste. Leaves a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall fine beer.

Excellent beer, hopy aromas, rich body, exquisite balance between bitterness of the hops and malt sweetness.

Bottle from Biomarkt in Berlin. BB 29.03.2017. Pours pale yellow with loads of tiny bits floating around and creamy white head that retains rather well. Aroma is of ripe mango (i.e. a bit soapy) and pineapple. Too one-sided and tropical for my liking. I guess there is a bit of the beer behind the multifruit juice too but not much. Tastes as juicy, honestly like mango juice that’s a gone off a bit, or shall we say fermented. A bit sugary (glycose?) sweet even. Soft on the palate, modest carbonation, lightish body. A rather unpretentious, sweet, fruity-juicy kind of PA. Doesn’t feel much like 6.5%. Overall alright for the price (was I think around € 1.50?).

Hazy yellow/orange with little white head. Aroma is ananas, bubblegum, pine cone, forest. Taste is hoppy bitterness and some fruity sweet and sourness. Mouthfeel is a little frothy. Thin body with medium finish of more (spicy) pine cone. Nice but somehow shallow.

Smell of Quince. Great citrus taste. More complex as you keep on drinking. Adding floral and slightly greenish taste. Keeps its taste for a long time. Light amber and hazy. Medium carbonated. In my opinion not that mild. Medium to higher bitterness - 55 BU. Ecological Certificate due to high Boland standard. Rating for SUD122.

Amber and medium-bodied. Hoppy aroma that seems to be partially noble hops. Similar hoppy flavour with some caramel malt. Lightly sweet tasty with medium bitterness. Overall, a decent IPA. Fairly moderate hops, just enough malt to not make it one-dimensional, and drinkable.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2016 Very straightforward hoppy aroma. Intense earthy hoppiness. Flavour is malty-sweet and a bit hoppy but more like a mild English IPA. Definitely refreshing. Has a really nice malt flavour. Fruity. Hops could shine a bit more but all in all I do like it. Maybe call it an ESB?

Bottled. Aromatic, tasty, refreshing, well done. Fruity, hoppy, malty, a bit sweet in aroma and taste. Dried figs dominate the fruity character of this delicious beer. Dry, fruity and bitter hoppy in finish. Excellent!
