COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Emmer wheat was used together with Einkorn and Spelt into the late middle ages in all of europe.
We are using this precious, uncrossed grain for your untarnished drinking pleasure. This beer naturally contains lots of protein, vitamins and minerals. That is why we leave it unfiltered.
Brewed for the historic festival of the city Riedenburg. More information on emmerbier.de

Swing top bottle 500ml (BDLX)
Murky brown color, small steady off-white head. Aroma is odd perfumic grainy-wheaty. Light to medium-bodied. Banana, grain, some chocolaty-fruity notes. Smooth palate. Decent sweetish wheat beer with typical bio beer grainy problems.

Malty aroma, spelt, wheat, grainy, oats, bread, barnyard, yeast and some grassy hops. Pours semitransparent hazelnut brown liquid with a small, soapy head. Sweet and slightly sour taste, flavour notes of hazelnut, almond, spelt, tonka beans, dried fruit, lots of different grainy flavours, but also some light fresh citrus and grassy hops. Full body with a silky texture, average carbonation and a little watery finish. This is a decent beer, I like the variety in grains and the natural, organic taste. Due to the strong malty hazelnutty flavour the drinkability is not that high, but it doesn’t have to be.

Bottiglia.

Hazy brown coloured beer with a medium, creme-coloured, medium-lasting head. Aroma is grainy (amelcorn?), hazelnuts, mold, roasted malt, caramel and sweet cacao. Taste is sweet fruity malty, nutty, bit like drinking chocolate. Finish is unfortunately a bit waterish. Medium to light body, soft carbonation, creamy texture.

Swing-top bottle 50cl. Poured into a weizenglass. Slightly hazy amber brown, abundant small bubbles, good two finger frothy off-white to beige head, mostly lasting, light lacing; aroma grains, soap, bit tart, yeast, herbal notes; taste medium sweet and light bitter, grainy, yeasty; sweetbitter middle part and aftertaste, bit fruity, touch of toasted caramel; light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation; fresh, easy to drink.

Aroma: Malz, fruchtig. Frischer Geschmack, anfangs etwas undefinierbarer Geschmack, wird malziger, leicht bitter, fruchtig (u.a. Kirsche).

Murky brown with offwhite froth. Very malty aroma, almost rye-ish. Flavour is bready and malty with some caramel and perhaps light spice. Sweetish, some sourish notes. With low bitterness and carb, medium body. Too sweet and bready/grainy for my taste. "Historisches"-my ass... glad Western Civilization has moved on.
