Sörspecialistánál. Világos gesztenye szín. Fanyar citrusos illat, köszönhetően a különböző búzafajtáknak.

Bottle from Wasana´s Getränke Oase, Idar-Oberstein. Pours murky brown with a big creamy white head.Sweet grainy aroma, bread and caramel. Taste is very thin and watery, sweet, not everything was better in the old days.

500 ml bottle. BB 02/01/14. From bierzwerg.de.
Murky brown colour with an average sized off-white head. Looks good. The aroma is a nice combination of sweetish malt, dry graininess, some hops and vegetables (not in a bad way). So far very promising. The flavour is a bit sour which is a bit strange. Not bad but interesting. There’s a lot of dry grainy maltiness, some hops, sourish berries and bread. Very interesting. I like the quirkiness of this Emmer brew.

My first Emmebier, so i didn’t know what to expect. Unfiltered cloudy orange with 2 fingers of white head. Aroma is mostly of yeast mostly with some bread and hops notes in the end. In mouth is kinda acid. Lactic acid, yeast and some hops in the end. I was surprised with how much yeast was in the bottle, really a lot. I don’t know if it’s a reference for the style, but it’s a curious beer.

50cl bottle, only available at the local Biomarkt. - Unusual blend of a cloudy Keller and an orange-hued Weizen. Mouthfilling, yet pleasantly drinkable. Caramels and mildly spicy yeast dominate in low doses, making this less rich in taste than its potential.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Allendörfer. Aroma: lightly apple-like aroma. Appearance: average, rocky, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Cloudy, red body. Taste: lightly sour initial flavor and moderately sweet, caramel finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall: very good, easy to drink and interesting.

Bottle. Amber, cloudy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and light bread. Body is light to medium, malty -lightly wheaty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread. Finish is average, malty - lightly wheaty and sweetish, light caramel and light bread with light banana. Curiosity - too sweet, totally lacks bitterness.

500ml swing-top bottle from Landmanns in Gräfelfing. Pours a hazed brown-orange colored body with a finger-width, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened malts with some caramel and a bit of a graininess. A few fruit notes, dms, toast, and a light banana. Flavor is similar. Somewhat sweet, crackery malts with touches of caramel and a light banana. Hints of toast towards the end with a few fruit notes. Finishes very clean and somewhat dry before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Soft, smooth, medium body and a soft, creamy, medium carbonation. Overall, a decent beer. Nothing special, but very smooth and easy drinking. Not bad.

Pours hazy dark orange with a large light beige head. Smells like wheat, banana, and hints of clove. Taste is mostly sweet, hints of banana and a little spice; nothing offensive. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Riedenburger Historisches Emmer Bier finishes with subtle sweetness.

jkbier (63) - Rostock, GERMANY - FEB 28, 2013
Bottled. Hazy dark brown body with a medium-sized tan head. Surprisingly little aroma of dried fruit. Soft carbonation but nevertheless refreshing. Tastes of fresh bread with hints of cloves, raisins and banana. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bit too watery. All in all an interesting beer somewhere between a lager and a standard Weizen.
