Emmer wheat was used together with Einkorn and Spelt into the late middle ages in all of europe.
We are using this precious, uncrossed grain for your untarnished drinking pleasure. This beer naturally contains lots of protein, vitamins and minerals. That is why we leave it unfiltered.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Allendörfer. Aroma: lightly apple-like aroma. Appearance: average, rocky, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Cloudy, red body. Taste: lightly sour initial flavor and moderately sweet, caramel finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall: very good, easy to drink and interesting.

Pours a dark cloudy amber color with very little head. You can almost see the thick texture of the beer, like a stout. Faint aromas of ripe fruit and coffee(?). The specialty grains give the beer a unique flavor that is quite nice, but it’s not very balanced...too sweet, not enough bite.

Dark reddish amber color, with a very big initial head. Low carbonation, medium to watery body, texture is little oily. Aroma is toasted malt and herbs. Taste is toasted malt, spicy, herbs, caramel, low sweetness and almost no bitterness. Aftertaste is short, dry and low sweetness.

Color ambar oscura, miel, con distintas tonalidades. Fuerte olor a caramelo. Muy fuerte. Tambien algo herbal. EScasa espuma. Sabor muy dulce, escaso cuerpo, y flojo final. Todo natural, mucho sedimento en botella. No me va. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Color is hazy brown with tiny white head. Aroma is malty with some caramel. Taste is light sweet and a bit bitter, maybe a little watery. Pretty good beer though.

Mild-weiches, leicht süßliches Bier. Nicht zu tief, sehr süffig, Frisch, würzig, aber nicht zu tief. Nett.

Bottle. Hazy light brown color, medium brown lacing head. Slightly muffy aroma, sour fruits, cereals. Slightly sweet, some sourness, balanced low bitterness. Medium to nice thick creamy mouthfeel, nice, refreshing carbonation. Leaves a distinct bready flavour and light sour note on the tongue. Very nice historic beer, must be one of the best I´ve ever drank.

Many thanks for this Swing-top Bio Bier Bottle to kevnic2008. Jak wspaniale pachnialo owocami brzoskwin, i jakby wilgotnych sliwek. Piana spora dosc dobrze utrzymujaca sie na powierzchni kufla, znaczac zarazem slad. Metne i to porzadnie. Z poczatku ciemno pomaranczowe z brazowymi refleksami, a po dolewce calej zawartosci robi sie sino brazowe z fioletowym refleksem. W smaku smaczne pszepyszne i pelne w smaku. Slodowosc pszeniczna lekka korzennosc i lagodzace nuty orkiszu na sam koniec. Polecam.

Bottle. Wheaty aroma, quite nice. Taste is quite anonymous, watery mouthfeel and if there even is an aftertaste its bready. Not something i will try again.

500 ml bottle. Enjoyed at Munich, Germany. Pours a hazy amber brown colour with a small head. Aroma of bready malts, sour berries and wood. Flavour of bready malts, pungent red berry sourness, yeast and astrigent. Some cardboard as well. Medium bodied with a very sharp sour finish. What a mess. BBE is nowhere near (08/2015) and yet this is almost undrinkable. I hope it’s just this bottle.
