| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Hazy tang-sunrise colored body with a frothy head. Pleasantly developed phenolic bouquet, rich with clove and green banana, melding well with wheat and a delightful yeasts zest and underlying graininess. Sweet, viscous body. Syrupy banana flavor, with touches of roast chocolate, burnt caramel, wheat, and corn. Light clove as well. Flavors never quite form a good balance. Interesting complexity, but a bit grating on the palate. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Bottle: Pours a cloudy orange color with a nice white head and tons of lacing. The nose is grainy and malty with a lot of husk, cheap pale malt and some wheat character. Light citrus notes from either the yeast or the hops, I can’t tell. Lots of yeasty estery notes, reminds me of brewer’s yeast on popcorn (the corn being the operative word). Nice chewy body and a zesty finish. The huskiness of the pale malt being enough to overpower the wheat seems a little odd to me. A rough and tumble weizenbock, but it’s decent. FatguyRacer (132), Crownsville, Maryland, USA

Leaves a little lacing on the glass as it goes down. Floral and citrus aromas abound on the nose. Crisp and clean on the palate with a nice bitter aftertaste. Nothing overpowering. The is a very good hefe. If it weren’t so damned expensive, I’d probably buy it more often. AmEricanbrew (2021), Almost, Texas, USA

Aroma of sweet sugary wheat and banana esters with a touch of Hallertau hops. Starts with good fullness and sweet malted wheatiness alongside a light fruity banana character and some doughy Bavarian yeast. Finishes semi-sweet and smooth, a pretty true to style and drinkable weizenbock. BuckeyeBoy (1699), Boise, Idaho, USA
