Bottle:   Hazy straw, thin spritzy white head, little lacing.   Wheaty nose, a little barnish, and musty.   Also seems a little bready.   Bready malts on the tongue, biscuit sweetness, minor wheatiness.   Seems like a wheat bock of sorts.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish is a little sticky, like apple cider.   Remains bready.   Not bad, maybe like a blonde bock at the finish.   Interesting beer.

Hazy tang-sunrise colored body with a frothy head. Pleasantly developed phenolic bouquet, rich with clove and green banana, melding well with wheat and a delightful yeasts zest and underlying graininess. Sweet, viscous body. Syrupy banana flavor, with touches of roast chocolate, burnt caramel, wheat, and corn. Light clove as well. Flavors never quite form a good balance. Interesting complexity, but a bit grating on the palate.

Bottle: Pours a cloudy orange color with a nice white head and tons of lacing. The nose is grainy and malty with a lot of husk, cheap pale malt and some wheat character. Light citrus notes from either the yeast or the hops, I can’t tell. Lots of yeasty estery notes, reminds me of brewer’s yeast on popcorn (the corn being the operative word). Nice chewy body and a zesty finish. The huskiness of the pale malt being enough to overpower the wheat seems a little odd to me. A rough and tumble weizenbock, but it’s decent.

12 oz bottle. Pours a translucent orange with almost no head at all. Leaves a little lacing on the glass as it goes down. Floral and citrus aromas abound on the nose. Crisp and clean on the palate with a nice bitter aftertaste. Nothing overpowering. The is a very good hefe. If it weren’t so damned expensive, I’d probably buy it more often.

XXX Weisse pours hazy golden with a fleeting white head. Nice banana clove estery aromas. Smooth medium body. Big banana bread sweet flavors with soft clove. Mildly tart finish. Enjoyed this one.

12 oz bottle labeled as XXX Weisse: Pours a cloudy golden with a spotty-lacing fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet sugary wheat and banana esters with a touch of Hallertau hops. Starts with good fullness and sweet malted wheatiness alongside a light fruity banana character and some doughy Bavarian yeast. Finishes semi-sweet and smooth, a pretty true to style and drinkable weizenbock.

Bottle Pours out a hazy gold topped with a white head. Aroma is very nice sweet spice, banans, and candy. Tast is more of the aroma. Lots of spice, and sweet malt. Douglas you had better be right.
