ante (2525), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 25, 2008 Bottled at Monks Café. Pours out in a clear nut brown colour with a fluffy white foam. Mild aroma of toasted malts, nuts and metal. rather light bodied with notes of fudge, almonds and metal with subtle notes of fresh mineraly hops. Malty finish of peanut, toffee and grass with a minerally undertone. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 30, 2007 Monks Café Stockholm Mahogany, clear. Lots of lacing up there despite the head being very small. unfortunately, again a rather bland flavor profile from Riegele, poorly toasted malts remind of Melba toast whereas barely any hops try to exempt it from its irremediable fate: being ruined by its minor appleskin and mineral nuances. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 13, 2007 Updated: Mar 23, 2007Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Distinct hazelnut aroma. Fairly sweet with loads of hazelnuts. Some butter and roasty malt, clean rounded mouthfeel, medium body. Low hop rate and bitterness. Nutella-beer? Intense and pretty good. rauchbier (2874), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Feb 14, 2007 Bottle. Faintly hazy chestnut, thin off white head and moderate condition. Gentle fruity malt and low raisin aromas, initial spicy maltiness in the mouth with a faintly roasted edge then some sweet low caramel and balancing hop bitterness and a final figgy chocolate note. Some chalkiness and earthy notes in the finish with more figgy sweetness and a touch of caramel at the end.
MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Oct 7, 2006 Draught. Clear dark red/brown colour. Fruity flavour, but not out of style IMO. A bit watery.
