Medium white lasting head is creamy on top. Yellow body. Fruity strawy grassy aroma is kind of faint. Dry-sweetish mealy strawy grassy taste with peppery notes. Mid-bodied. Dusty mouthfeel. Bitter grassy aftertaste is sort of simple. Not bad, but not very good, either. (0.33l draft at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, as Monks Bavarian Pils.)

Bottle. Sweet barley malt and floral hops aroma. Medium yellow color with moderate head. Sweet hops initially with a moderately bitter floral hops flavor. A good beer - nice hops.

(Draught at Monk’s Sveavägen as Monk’s Bavarian Pils) Poured pale golden and clear with medium sized and white head. Aroma contained grassy hops and hint of butter. Palate was light bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, malts, grain, bitterness, hint of butter and metallicness. Aftertaste was bitter.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009, as Monks Cafe Bavarian Pils. Golden color with long lasting head. Firm honeyish malty aroma. Malty and honeyish flavor with medium bitterness and some herbal hops.
Smooth palate. Good maltiness but this needs more hops.

Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, as Monk’s Bohemian Pilsner Light blond color, nice head. It has a strong herbal hop and hay aroma. Medium bodied, good malt flavor, cereals and grains, correct bitterness, with a drier mouthfeel in the end. Pleasant.
