Herrlich hopfenblumig. Prickelnd und rezent dabei ausbalanciert schlank. Weicher Antrunk ohne nachhängene Bittere.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2007 Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm Clear golden, airy head. Distinct spicy grassy hop aroma. Dry, fairly crisp and light bodied. Interesitng mustardy spicyness which is unusual for a German pils. Very dry and slim. Lingering bitter finish with a touch of metal.

Danke an AUXBURG1986 Test vom 29.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,11,11,10,8,11 - 10,50

On tap at Monks Cafe Sveavägen as Monks Cafe Bavarian Pils. Golden colour with a long lasting, white head. Nice aroma with honey and malts. Good, medium bitter taste with notes herbal hops. Medium body with a slick palate. Nice bitter finish. Simply a good pilsener in typical, solid German style.

Draught at Monks Porter House, Stockholm (served as Monks Bavarian Pils). Light golden, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, faint grassy hoppyness. Body is medium, malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light bread and light grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light grassy hoppyness. Could be drier with more bitterness. OK but nothing special.

Very bright straw under a foamy lacing&lasting white head. Hints of grassiness, little or none maltiness. Very dry palate, quite bitter end, short aftertaste. Better than commercial lagers but way far from better examples of the style.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Im Glas absolut Pilstypisch. Goldgelbe Farbe, mittelhohe, feine Krone.
