Drei Gaben Aromahopfen garantieren die feinherbe Frische dieses Premium Pilseners, das seinesgleichen sucht. Herrlich hopfenblumig. Prickelnd und rezent dabei ausbalanciert schlank. Weicher Antrunk ohne nachhängene Bittere.

Flasche (50 cl) vom Bahnhofskiosk Augsburg. - Goldgelb, klar.

Draught @ Monks Porterhouse as Monks Cafe Bavarian Pils. Pours hazy sparkling yellow with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is grainy and floral with crackers, cereal, toasted grains, baked pears, hay, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, bitter, grainy and floral. Mouthfeel is tiny crisp, slightly round, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with cereal, toasted grains, hay, dried flowers and lemon peal. Decent Pilsner but a but too grainy for me...

Svesse (7850) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 16, 2007
(Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour with huge white head. Malty, grassy nose with toffee notes. Malty, grassy taste with notes of citrus and pineapple. Initial malt sweetness leading to a drier, nice grassy bitterness in the finish. Hops leaning slightly in the Czech direction. Classic pils, solid but unadventurous.

22-Apr-08 (500-ml bottle: Free sample bottle for stewarding the 2008 World Beer Cup in San Diego, CA) Grainy malt aroma pairs with spicy Noble hops, but it’s also a little cheesy, though this goes away in time. Malty, somewhat biscuity, minimally sweet, balanced by crisp, spicy, moderately bitter hops. Light-bodied, clean and crisp on the palate Pale golden in color and perfectly clear in appearance. Carbonation bubbles continue to rise long after the beer is poured, and that helps to keep the fluffy, white head at a thin, but complete layer. Ringed and doily-like patches of lace remain on the glass.

Draught at Monk’s Café, Stockholm, as Monk’s Bohemian Pilsner
Light blond color, nice head. It has a strong herbal hop and hay aroma. Medium bodied, good malt flavor, cereals and grains, correct bitterness, with a drier mouthfeel in the end. Pleasant.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009, as Monks Cafe Bavarian Pils. Golden color with long lasting head. Firm honeyish malty aroma. Malty and honeyish flavor with medium bitterness and some herbal hops. Smooth palate. Good maltiness but this needs more hops.
