Draught at Monks Porter House, Stockholm (served as Monks Bavarian Pils). Light golden, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, faint grassy hoppyness. Body is medium, malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light bread and light grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty – lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light grassy hoppyness. Could be drier with more bitterness. OK but nothing special.

Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Smells of green apple at first with some bread and cracker malt notes. A faint hoppiness, mostly floral and earthy, and a bit of yeast and citrus peel. The flavor is a bit bitter for a pilsner. Some grain astringency, a mild malt sweetness, some cracker and bread notes, and definitely some green apple, too. Light fruit esters on the finish.

It’s a little hazy, golden and has a white head. The aroma has notes of flower, malt and fruit/citrus. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of flower, malt, citrus/fruit - very well balanced, refreshing and crisp - very nice!

Draft @ Monk’s Porter House, Stockholm as Monks Bavarian Pils. Golden blond coloured beer with some medium carbonation and a medium but diminishing white head. Light fruity herby hinted aroma with some sweeter touches. Medium palate. Finish is sweet fruity and slightly hoppy bitter hinted. Not bad.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Im Glas absolut Pilstypisch. Goldgelbe Farbe, mittelhohe, feine Krone. Der Geruch offenbart sich aromahopfig, sehr frisch. Das Pils startet ebenfalls sehr lecker frisch und natürlich aromahopfig. Dezent bitter im Hintergrund, aber es hält sich wirklich in Grenzen. Der Abgang zeigt sich deutlich herber, es wird leicht trocken, aber nur kurzzeitig. Die Mitte wird ebenfalls herber, der Bitterhopfen kommt deutlicher durch. Ein untypisches, bayerisches Bier, dennoch sehr lecker!
