Cerveja forte, com um toque bem suave de caramelo. Boa, mas não excepcional.

Tapped at the brewhouse in Augsburg. Color is honey, rubby, brown, copper. Aroma of bananas, mangos, peaches, pears, grapes. Taste is a lot of bananas and moderate hops with a hoppy very dry finish. Alcohol present in the aftertaste, but warming. Overall an excellent weizen doppelbock!

Draught. Hazy orange brown with a solid head. Aroma is fruit with a bit of pepper. Flavour is tangy yeast, banana and a little booze. Creamy base with a lively caramel finish, no indication of the strength in the taste.

500ml bottle, thanks to Clutch the band! Drunk while watching Germany beat Argentina in the World Cup 14. Pours murky orange, off-white head. Fresh fruity aroma, yeasty mouthfeel with wheat, vanilla, bread and strong overripe banana coming through towards the end. Rich, creamy and tasty.

Butterscotch, banana, oak, a bit sticky sweetness, and some doughy quality to it. A yeasty mess with a lot of off flavors, creates a messy but tasty beer that is far from refreshing and gets tiring after a while...

Idiosynkrasie (3725) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 14, 2014
500ml bottle. Hazy, dark copper colour with average to huge, frothy, beige head. Fruity, wheaty aroma, fruity notes of orange, mandarine, orange zest, bready malty basis, a touch of baked banana. Taste has extreme diacetyl notes, fruit ester, peppery yeasty notes, alcohol, watery chaperonage. Almost undrinkable.

Bottle 50cl, a cloudy amber brown beer with huge creamy head. Nose is on pineapple and banana, malt notes. Aroma is malty with round wheat and fresh bread notes, candied banana, some esters, toasted malt, sweet, creamy, rich, smooth, complex. Well done beer, bit less intense than the aventinus eisbock but very well made.

50cl bottle. Reddish amber, thick creamy white head. Sweet, ripe banana in aroma, also some sweet berry notes. Flavor has ripe banana, wheat, caramel, yeast. Medium to full bodied. Warming alcohol in finish. Quite sweet, musty, not the easiest beer to drink, nor the most refreshing one, but on the other hand, weizenbocks seldom are. Nice sipper.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours hazy darker orange in color with a thick whitish head. Wheaty notes, sugary sweetness and ripe banana mostly in aroma. Mashed banana and sweet sugary notes in taste. Some vinous aspects as well are present. Slightly fuller body and this would have been top notch.
