Genießen Sie das Aromaspiel der Brauspezialität Amaris 50. Dieses Bier verdankt seine 50 geschmackvollen Bittereinheiten einer raffinierten Kombination der vier Aromahopfen Hallertauer Perle, Opal, Hersbrucker und Tettnanger Mittelfrüh.

Golden coloured beer with a bit white head that long lastes. Modarate aroma with notes of citrus, flowers. Bittery taste, fizzy carbonation, watery texture. Not the best...

Maker: Brauhaus Riegele, Augsburg, Germany *** Beer: Riegele Amaris 50 (bottled, unfiltered, 660ml) *** Style: German Pilsener *** ALC.VOL.: 5.0% *** "This beer owes its tasty 50 bitter units to the use of for different aroma hops: Hallertauer Perle, Opal, Hersbrucker and Tettnanger Mittelfrüh." [brewery note, my translation] *** Colour: Bright golden yellow, hazy, with a medium-sized, fluffy white head. *** Nose: Hops, grass, light citrus, herbs. *** Texture: Medium body, not watery at all. Medium carbonation. *** Taste: Lemon, grass, herbs, some bready malts. Pine and very mild resinous notes towards the middle, with bitter hops and lemon. Increased bitterness in the finish, together with citrus notes. After taste is grain, malt, light lemon. *** Impressions: While I’m not a huge fan of the German Pilsener style, this one’s good: halfway between a Pils and IPA, with pleasant lemony notes on top of the grains, the bread - and no wet plaster. Very refreshing and eminently quaffable.

When poured into the glas it produces a dense white, longlasting head. The colour is hazy golden. Aromas of citrus, herbs, sweet floral hops, and malt. Overal like spruce needles. Flavour at first sweet malty, like corn then hopy. Bitter finish. Fizzy carbonation, oily mouthfeel. light to medium body. Good.
