Bottle... Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. The aroma is an assortment of nuts, dark chocolate, big espresso and an odd whisper of jalapeno. Medium-bodied and watery with modest carbonation. The flavor is a strange mix of weak coffee and green chilies. Thin overall. This one may have spent too much time in my cellar. On tap at HopCat in GR. Pours nearly black with only a thin head. Aroma is roast, coffee and some chocolate. The taste is dominated by bitter cold coffee. Medium body and carbonation. Decent stout.

Pour out of 16 oz can, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought roast, ash, coffee, hints of earth, chocolate, hints of dark fruits into a bit of spice. Taste is a mix of dark fruit, cocoa, some roast, coffee notes, hints of grain, ash, finishing fairly bitter, slightly creamy.

Not bad. Coffee and espresso flavor are very apparent. Aftertaste is metallic and almost tastes like olives.

Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma has a nice coffee forward character. Light roast notes with some fruitiness and nuttiness from the coffee. Medium light chocolate notes. Light fruit esters. Pours black with a moderately thick, light mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor has a nice light sweetness with a solid amount of chocolate and light roast notes. Moderately strong coffee character contributes nice complexity. Medium light bitterness. Some lingering roast character with hints of astringency. Light fruit esters. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly creamy with medium carbonation. Medium low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty good beer with a nice aroma and flavor upfront. The finish is a bit bitter and astringent and reminds me of old coffee grinds, but thankfully its not overpowering. Good but not amazing.

Big roasted coffee aroma, pours an opaque black with a thin tan head. The coffee notes are the predominant flavor, with a little chocolate coming through in the mid palate. Finish is full on roast, long and lingering. Body is a bit thinner then I prefer my stouts, and this one has a little bite of carbonation to it. Overall, this is an easy drinking stout with some good coffee flavor.

Can. Dark brown color with a small, light brown head. Fresh roasted coffee aroma. Taste is spot on, espresso with a little chocolate sweetness to balance the oatmeal bitterness. Average carbonation with a thin, somewhat dry texture. Very well done!

Sample at Kurtkeller 015: Coffee-tastic 02 on 07/05/2014. Brownish-black color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and malt. Light to medium body with a roasty character of coffee and malt, with touches of chocolate. The finish is dry with a cocoa and espresso aftertaste. Above average overall.
