Dead Kettle has a nice hoppy nose with them exploding on the palate. Very refreshing for the hop heads. Itís Dead Kettle, because during the first handfull of brews, the kettle would die. So John made due and stumbled onto this. A happy accident. We also got a new guy to fix the burner unit. Oh, dry hops really help.

I tried a sample of this at a beer tasting. Golden orange color with white head. Rich citrus and orange peel scents. Nice hoppy taste. Not too bad.

Fresh bottle brought back from the source by Adam. Thanks mang! The beer is copper with a substantial tan head. the aroma brings a lot of malt, light hop character, a touch of pine. Unadventurous and inconsequential on the palate. Mild hop presence, caramel / biscuit malt character, finishing dry. Nothing wrong here, but indistinguishable and boring. Light to medium in body with appropriate carbonation. Meh...

Deep dark copper and orange coloured body with a cloudy, very opaque look and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of earthy and floral hops, some pungent malt notes, a little bit of yeast and a solid fruit profile. Medium-bodied; Chewy malty flavour at first with earth and nuts noticeable, but a large and rather herbal hop taste rounds out the flavour. Aftertaste shows a subtle blend of sweetness from fruits and a drying hop character. Overall, a nice IPA that shows more of a non-traditional flair with more malt and sweetness than most others and especially the look - much more cloudy than most! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington on 15-March-2014.

Carbonation dissipates quickly, no lacing, but a beautiful orange color. My first thought with aroma was grapefruit, and the first taste was hoppy with a citrus-y sweetness. This would go well with a light summer meal. The lingering bitter finish is nice at first, but starts to become less pleasant after a bit. This would be a great beer to have with a grilled chicken caesar salad on a warm day right before a round of golf. Not a beer to linger with while playing video games, which is where Iím at right now.

Orange amber body, moderate white head, spotty lacing. Grapefruit and resin. A bit muted and muddled. Assertive malt presence. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, mild bitterness.

bottle. Golden with two finger head. Moderately hoppy with a good amount of flavor. Hops could be a bit crisper, but this is a solid IPA.

Pour from a 22oz bottle. Date on bottle is June, 2013, so I guess it is well aged. Orange amber brew with tan head. Initial aroma of citrus and grapefruit, but as I drink it all I am getting is a little resin. Taste is weakly sweet at the start, surprisingly little flavor, then a growing resinous hops that reaches its peak at the very end of the swallow. Resin, earth, a little spice. Long lingering bitterness after the swallow.

Brewery bottle capped 1 August so about two weeks old. Pours a copper-orange color with light sedimentation and a big foamy khaki head. Is there onion in the aroma? Slight sweetness from the hops. Flavor almost seemed to be like a really bitter lager...does that make sense? Lingering bitterness. Okay overall.

Had it out of a bottle. Pours a clear amber hue, hop pine smell. Bitter hop taste. Thin head no lacing.

Wow, this was a letdown. Aroma is stale ginger ale, mango, and unsweetened iced tea. Pours brown orange with heavy carbonation but not a lot of head. Looks like it is trying to boil itself. Taste is stale bread, papaya, and freeze dried apricots. Very not good.
