3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted on 5/30/13 from a 22oz bomber bottle obtained in the Easter Bunny BIF. Pours nearly completely black with a thin brown head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is full of dark chocolate with tons of mint, it actually smells almost exactly like a Thin Mint. The flavor is a little bit more disjointed, with the dark chocolate malt up front and the mint coming through as very herbal and somewhat bitter on the back end. The body is medium with light carbonation and a long chocolate, minty, and nicely bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours almost pitch black with a small foamy head that quickly fades away. Aroma is medium roast, chocolate and mint. Taste is like thin mint cookies mixed with light roasted coffee. More bitter than sweet though. Medium body, mouthfeel is a little chalky and foamy. Overall, pretty good and unique. Could be great with a little more chocolate sweetness and a better mouthfeel.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deuce. Pours a dark brown, near black with slight fizzy head. Mint chocolate in the scent. Taste is minty, with roasted malt, chocolate...a bit dry. Kinda just seems like I drank a beer too soon after brushing my teeth. Different, but just ok.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to pint. Looks good; black with beige lacing. Smells and tastes solid; sweet, malty, and minty. Nice and smooth on the palate too. A good take on the style.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle. Pours black with a deep tan head. Aroma is exactly as the name and deScription suggest, mint chocolate cookie, beyond that suggesting licorice, slight roasted coffee. Minty cocoa flavor, slightly medicinal hinting at cherries and licorice. Be nicer with a fuller palate, though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but was released in bottles recently. Pours completely pitch black color with a nice dense 2 finger very dark tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, mint leaves, toast, light char, light coffee, and light herbal hops. Very nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity of dark roasted notes with moderate mint presence. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, mint leaves, roasted malt, light coffee, light char, toast, herbal, and light roasted earthiness. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, mint, roasted malt, toast, coffee, light char, herbal, and light roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of dark roasted flavors with moderate mint; with zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with pretty much zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice stout! Nice amount of robustness and balance of roasted flavors with moderate mint flavor; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
