tap. Amber with small head. Averageish amber. Caramel malt body. Very light hops. Decent, but not much to get excited about.

16 ounce can. Orange color. Some taste of caramel and malt but an overall fairly weak body and not enough flavor.

Can. Just a little bit of haze to the deep amber body. Head is thin and beige, while aromas are dates, figs and caramel. Flavor is sugary and fruity amber. Lots of brown sugar, toffee, figs and dates. This beer is sticky and sweet, but not real interesting. Almost tastes like a cloying barleywine light.

On tap. Dark amber pour. Small head. Nice lacing. Good taste, true to the style. Will get again.

$5.50 pint at Vinsetta Garage in Michigan. Appearance: Brown/amber. Don’t recall a haze, if there is one, it’s faint. No head on it. Zero lacing left behind. Very average looking. Smell: Weird! I couldn’t tell if it was the glass or the beer, but it was an odd farm/spice sort of smell that I wasn’t at all expecting from the style of beer. There’s also plenty of malt in there as well -- this isn’t an overly hopped up Amber, which seems to be pretty popular. Smells alright, nothing fantastic. Taste/feel: Easy drinking’s about the best thing I can say. Inoffensive. Pretty enjoyable. Not much to it though. A bit sweet with a little hop bitterness with the caramel malts, but it ends there... nothing particularly unique about it. Medium carbonation with a somewhat light mouthfeel. The very definition of a forgettable beer. It tastes decent and I had no problem getting through the beer, but it’s just not at all interesting. Eh.

On tap: The aroma consists of light caramel, nuts, and some faint toasty notes. It’s a transparent amber with a s off-white head that quickly fades to a thin film. There’s a decent amount of thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel and a touch of fruit. The finish has light roasted nuts, faint toastiness, and a touch of floral/grassy hops. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s a pretty standard Amber.

Tap: deep amber, almost copper with nice clarity & a frothy beige film that leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma is caramel, nuts, light taffy, cocoa dust, & some toasted bread. Taste is mild, following the aroma nicely. Light caramel, nuttiness, some cocoa powder, toast, light bready yeast, & a very mild back-end bitterness. Controlled sweetness, easy drinker. Really nice for the style.

Had it out of a bottle. Poured a murky brownish hue, with a thick yet smallish head an no lacing. The aroma was of wet hop basement, but the tastes medium bodied hop malt flavor.
