Very good. More classic West Coast style. Little malt backbone. Strong grapefruit and to a lesser extent pine hop notes. Not resiny. Light mouthfeel. Adequate bitterness -- not a hop bomb.

Pours copper with a fluffy offwhite head that lingers ....well, it is still there and I am halfway done. First drink made me surprised at how malty it was. I think I am used to more imperials lately. As I drank more, I appreciated it. There is some citrus, some pine, solid malt to it, but leaves a pleasant bitterness on the tip of tongue and back of throat. Slightly sticky mouthfeel (even with that bitter tongue tip). Very enjoyable.

bought this bomber before i realized it was dated 9 months ago. however, it still has a nice hops kick although probably not as sharp as it would be in its prime. it’s medium bodied with a solid pale malt background and the hops are typical of simcoe - citrus, pine, grass, lavender. nice brew and the name is cool.

Bottle extraed from Mike (bottled October ’13). Clear copper pour with a white head. Light bitterness and grain in the aroma. Bitterness and spots of pine with some chewy malt in the taste. Lightly coating mouthfeel. Pretty solid actually for a 7 month old IPA.

Fresh bottle brought back from the source by Adam. Thanks mang! The beer is orange with two fingers of head. Aromas of hops and pine amidst bread, cracker, malt scents. Decent flavor. The hops don’t pop out as much as I’d like for the style. Mild bready sweetness with some grapefruit and misc. citrus. Medium bodied with light bitterness. This was alright.

22 oz. bottle from my secret santa umich03jm. Thanks man! Pours a hazed orange color with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, baby aspirin. Flavor is focused on citrus and pine, mildly bitter, very flavorful. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes bitter. This is a nice, interesting IPA. I enjoyed it.

A little floral mixed with the hop nose. Some citrus on the tip of the tongue with earthy notes. Hops linger with a bough bitter on the palate. Nice all around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler: thanks, Jason! Super hazy & yeasty looking goldenrod colored body with a quickly dissipating, white head. Aroma is dripping with wet hoppage; slightly dank & leafy with big notes of tropical fruit peels & some grapefruit pith hidden in the back. Mild, faint green onion-y notes. Taste is, again, a mouth full of nice, wet hops - small bitterness throughout, but makes for an easy drinker. Leaves, light pine, & a tropical mango & orange combo. Little bit of grapefruit peeks through still. More citric than tropical finish, actually. Mild light malt presence, just enough to be a solid backbone. Very nice IPA, one of the more enjoyable things I’ve had from Right Brain.

pours amber with a white head that dissipates quickly leaving a nice lacing on my glass.quite a bit of sediment is floating in my snifter. aroma is pine, grapefruit, pineapple and orange. flavor is very soft compared to other i.p.a.s and extremely well balanced between the citrus flavors. hops is center stage here but once again very well balanced with the citrus and malt. medium bodied, medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel and finishes with a pleasant resinous dryness. very nicely done.

Sample at Right Brain. Pours a clear gold with aromas of pine and pineapple. Flavor is crisply hopped and resiny with a nice malt preened the doesn’t get in the way and allows the hops to shine.
