A snappy pale ale. Smooth with just a tinge of bitterness. The choice of many patrons.

Pours bright clear orange with some lingering head. Nose is a big explosion of diacetyl. Flavor is yes, more buttery butterscotch. Doesn’t seem to be infected just a butter bomb. Let down.

Can, from Mikem409 I think. Tall boy poured into a snifter. Pours a light golden color with a large rocky white head that laces well. Aroma is kind of soapy with some lemon and grass, but not lemongrass.. Taste is initially very hoppy with a slight crisp pale malt flavor. Moderately bitter, evident in the finish, but not astringent. Hop flavor is interesting and a little subdued compared to the lupulin shift of pale ales these days. This is more along the lines of a SNPA level of hoppiness, which is scoffed at these days. Overall a very enjoyable sessionable beer I could crush lots of at the beach. Thanks Mike

16 ounce can
This was picked up on a trip to Grand Rapids. I wish I’d have grabbed a few more Right Brain beers from the shelves. An excellent pale ale merits the attention of anybody serious about great craft beer. In a crowded Michigan market this manages to stand out.

Aroma / Appearance - A transparent orange base takes on the color of a dying sunset. A crisp white head shocks the eyes. Fresh pine sol, crisp lemons, and more emerge with the sensation of walking onto a Christmas tree farm just after Thanksgiving with a light dusting of snow.

Flavor / Palate - Orange glaze, bright candy canes (minus the spices), and carbonated honey trade off focus on the tongue. From start to finish this hangs in the throat with a nice balance. If en route to camping in the Upper Peninsula this would be the perfect complement for a warm campfire.

16 oz. can. Pours a hazed amber orange color with a medium offwhite head. Aroma of grassy and citrus hops, mild hay, some biscuit malt. Some floral notes. Flavor is crisp, mildly bitter, some mild sweetness as well. Well-balanced, lively carbonation. A quite nice sessionable pale.

16oz can bought for $2.49 and poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint. Appearance: Has that sunset orange thing going on, with a bit of hop haze. Light sand color head floats on top, about a finger in height. Lacing is patchwork. Really a nice looking beer overall. Smell: Quite a bit of citrus, actually... mostly orange/lemon. Quite sweet. Nice malt presence, as well as hops. Just the aroma alone makes WillPOW!er seem balanced. Taste/feel: Definitely comes off as English. I’m not sure exactly what makes a pale ale "English", but this has that certain flavor I associate with it. Taste is almost identical to the smell, with a great balance of malt, slightly grassy hops, and a little blast of citrus. Aftertaste is citrus, malt, and a bit of bitterness. Not drying, and incredibly drinkable. This brew also has a nice body, perfect for the style, in my opinion. Quite surprised that the rating is as "low" as it is on here. For a beer that’s only 4.2% (says on the can), this has a pretty remarkably refreshing flavor. I’m glad to have randomly taken it off the shelf. As awesome as this is tasting right now, it’d be absolutely perfect in spring or summer.
