COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique blend of 2-row, munich, victory, and crystal malts give our IPA the maltiness of the traditional english style with the assertive hop character of the american version.

Pours a deep hazy amber with an off-white head. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine, bread, caramel, earth, and some grapefruit. Taste is more of the same with a moderate hop bitterness. Lots of murky, sweet malt in this. Seems unbalanced for an IPA, more like a hoppy amber.

22oz bottle (7.1% abv) picked up at Lee?s Discount in Mesquite Appearance: Pours clear copper with a medium sized off-white head and some lacing Aroma: Sweet dusty caramel, doughy, earthy and some mild citrus Taste: Caramel, earthy, bready, sweet with a bitter grapefruit finish A decent IPA. More aroma hops to offset the amount of malts would be nice.

Hey this is good stuff but there is something slick about it that I don’t care for. It’s like it has all the flavors and aromas I like but the body is lacking something. Tripelish. Big nuttyness.

Ok, so this is the third beer I’ve had from these guys, all picked up at the Grocery Outlet. The packaging is god-awful. Creepy looking cartoons of slutty women seems like they’re trying to compensate for bad beer, but there really is no need. The beers are actually pretty darn good! This one pours a rather dark copper/red color with a lasting off white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. Graham cracker and cookies with pine, peach, grapefruit and pineapple. Nice hop presence with a significant malt backbone, but it seems to work here despite my preference for simpler malt bills in IPA’s. The flavor is pretty much the same. Even though the malt definitely competes with the hops, the beer manages to stay dry in the finish. More of a toasty maltiness rather than caramel sweet. The hops are more bitter and piney with not as much flavor as I would like, but more than I expected. Caramel malts are felt on the palate as more body and a bit of flavor. Overall, this makes for a fine IPA. A bit old school with the darker, sweeter malts, but well brewed and hoppy enough to satisfy me for the price….especially considering I have no idea how old this bottle is. ($2.50 for the bomber!) Score. I’ll be picking up several more.

Aroma is citrus and almost doughy/cookie like malts. The flavor is doughy malts, citrus, a hint of grapefruit and a late burst of hops in the finish.
