worldbeertaste (1624) - AUSTRIA - DEC 20, 2012
Pale light orange/yellow with a thin disappearing, fizzy, white head. Smells of coriander, malt, fruit and Belgian ale yeast. Thin to medium oily body with soft carbonation. Frothy. Sweet start of butter, fruit and malt with a dry bitter alcohol finish and lingering yeast and spices. It would be nicer if the alcohol wasn’t so noticeable.

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has strong notes of fruit and yeast, as well as notes of dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, yeast, spices, malt, and a bit of alcohol, leading ti a dry finish.

hazy blonde ale with lots of bubbles. Soapy aroma with banana, super fizzy mouthfeel. Initially metallic taste. more carbonation than you know what to do with. The taste is just metallic and warded off by the fizz. breweries that go out should go out. There’s no point in this namesake anymore.

Corked and caged 750. Apparently the translation for the literal "pig rinse" is "swill," and I thought this was fine swill. Spicy nose and taste, sweet medium yellow body, fading white head. Nicely balanced. Thanks scrizzz!

Bottle. Pours a weak yellow with a nose of honeyed grass and light bread. Flavor is light bread, Pilsner, honey, and a touch of grass. Average mouthfeel. Meh.

(bottle, 33cl) Almost clear, pale golden colour with a blond diminishing foamy head. Bready malty aroma with traces of hops, a very restrained fruit-character, but present notes of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a flat carbonation. Sweet malty taste with bread and biscuits, accompanied by herbal accents; sweet and alcoholic finish. Simple brew, not a must. 10.X.12

Canned 500ml. -from local kiosk near Moulin Rouge, Paris. Birthday gift to Maja...hahaha... Yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head, touch of alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, light fruity and pretty strong alcohol notes (but pleasant). Maybe a bit too sweet but all in all quite good pig.

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, smaller white head with a little lace, bisquity-malty nose, some hops, some fruits underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; slightly lingering fruity-malty finish. Quite strong, quite monotonous…
