2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I thought this can had the famous pink elephant on it when I looked at the can the first time,†but this can has a lovely pink pig on the cover, holding a mug of beer against a blue background, some malts here and there and the name of the beer in a flag styled way mentioned under the pig. This all on a silver/mirror looking can. Ok, this can go both ways, good or bad, here we go:
Thereís this big vast white head which seems to be disappearing, or better, slowly changing into a rocky airy light stick lacing.
The beer is very clear and clean with a bright yellow color.
The nose is pretty decent, better than expected (most likely because I have had many shit canned beers the last days), did I save best for last?
Thereís a lot of finetuned grains: some corn, wheat, malts, spelt, hops, soap and very light hop earthy flower in it. Some light smellable bitters and some light ueasty fruit that has a slight touch of something light glue ish.
The taste is kind of the same maybe a bit less better than the smell, because there seems to be a more stronger bitter and spicy tone with some sharper tending grains and a stingy soapy hop effect. You feel where I am going, the balance is not truely there.
Also there are some hints of fruit, yellow apple, ripe apricot, yeast, light glue, cream and light vanilla,†light soapy and cleanest (but in a modest way - how they do it, I am not sure...) sharper grains †but also some grainy sweetness rapidly overpowered by a stingy bitterness, which are all to be discovered on ones tongue.
The aftertaste is not strong and excists of some grains, hoppy grass, cream, light alcoholic yeast, just a tiny bit and some really slight notes of red and yellow fruit like: just the slightest hints of strawberry, peach, cherry, apricot and banana.
The carbonation is gently in the middle to lightly soft, the mouthfeel is quite spicy, the body is medium powered an the texture is pretty creamy.
And what do you think, itís not good but itís not bad either. So itís truely in the middle. A mediocre strong blond beer. At least this is the highlight of my canned beers lately... (not including the Surly beers, Heady Topper and Coconut Porter). Ah well you need these beers to enjoy the good ones even more. Cheers!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. This pours a golden color with a big fluffy white head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. The aroma has grass and straw notes, with some herbs, and fruity esters in there too. The Belgian yeast component does eventually show in the scent. A bit sweet going down; candy notes, Belgian yeast, and fruity esters. The alcohol is nicely hidden; thereís just a slight sting to this. Straw and hay are both welcomed additions to the flavor to keep the sweetnes in check and help make this pretty easy drinking. Nothing too special here but overall a solid brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nose has some light apple, a bit of spices. This is more pronounced on the palate, which is white wine like in its crisp dryness and only minor sweet pear and apple notes accentuated by pepper. Overall, a lighter drinking beer than the style or ABV would imply; I kind of think my score undersells the beer a bit, but its just not robust enough to merit higher marks.

750ml bottle from Treasure Island Foods, Chicago. Ther cork hit my ceiling as soon as I twisted off the wires. Pours a hazy golden color with a moderate white head an not much lacing. Smells of yeast, orange, banana, and cloves. Flavor is pretty much the same. Mouthfeel is almost creamy with little carbonation. Body is medium. An enjoyable beer Iím glad to have tried, but perhaps not worth the price.
