Cask at the Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy copper with a halo of white head. Malty aroma with notes of stewed apples and sweets. Flavours of floral hop, candy sugar and stale malt. Flat malts continue on the palate with wet grass and a little citrus.

Wakefield Beer Festival as ’Two Beach Shaldon Shag’, but same percentage. Glowing copper with a small head. Has a hope base and a mild fruit character.

Nose is gently citric with fresh grapefruit hop aromas. Pours a deep copper with a medium-strong beige head. Flavour is a balance of fat and buttery and fresh and fruity with finishing notes of elderflower, grapefruit and ever-so-slight aniseed. Slightly thin mouthfeel, but a pleasingly long and bitter finish. Not a bad drop.
