sliffy (1903), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 12, 2006 Updated: May 16, 2007Draft @ brewkettle: Clear amber color with an off white head. Aroma, Rye and pale malts. Flavor some rye caramel and a light bitterness. Not quite as hoppy as I would have liked. But it was pretty solid.
Re-rate: lots of bright rye spiciness, and citrus hops. Probably a fresher batch as there was a very nice bitterness to it on the finish this time. OhioDad (2492), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Oct 10, 2006 Tap at the brewkettle - Pours amber with a short white head. Citrus aroma with some spice over caramel malts. I could also pick up the rye in the nose. Flavor is rye, caramel, and citrus hops. Chewy palate with a bitter and crisp finish.
