COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicious "sipper" is smooth, bold and hoppy. Lots and lots of Simcoe hops. 91 IBU

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy amber with a big sudsy white head that retains as a denser creamy 1 finger of head for the duration of the session. Leaves behind a great deal of lacing.

Aroma: Big danky simcoe and caramel like malt. Smells like sweet cereal.

Taste: Grassy hops, huge level of sweet malt, saved by a sturdy level of earthy hop bitterness that lingers well past the sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with modest prickly carbonation.

Overall: While the nose is very inviting, and it is an Imperial IPA, I thought the hop presence was lacking. I couldn’t find a bottle date but I suspect this was better fresher.

Poured into a snifter. The label on mine is boring, but much less hideous than the one in the pic featured. 4.0 A: Clear light orange color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy white head. Retention is good and a tall ring of lacing is left. 4.0 S: I could smell hops as soon as I popped the cap. Plenty of hops in the form of floral, citrus, spicy, and sugary with plenty of dankness. Malts are clean overall with just the faintest touch of breadiness. Enticing. 3.5 T: Soft bitterness. Floral and citrus are back with emphasis on orange, but not as spicy as I expected. Pine enters the scene. Again, malts are clean and for the most part stay out of the hops way. Good, but lacking depth of flavor and intensity. Alcohol well hidden. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Could use a bit more creaminess. Slight warming booze on finish. 3.5 D: Good brew, but this isn’t going to wow anyone’s palate. 22oz bottle from Brad. Rating #137. Clear orange/gold pour with a nice white head. Nice aroma, sweet citrus, orange and grapefruit are predominant. Mild bitterness upon first sip, but that changed a bit after a few more drinks and finished with a moderately aggressive finish that stuck around for a bit. Flavor was sweet, more grapefruit and tropical as well, like a tropical punch almost, tasty stuff. (2116)

22oz bottle, with no label, just a piece of paper scotch-taped to it with "Brew Kettle Old 21" written on it in marker. The clear bootlegged-ness of this made me curious to pick it up, no idea if the properly-labeled version is any different. Clear orange color, thin white head leaving decent good lace. Soft carbonation, nice dryness. Resiny hop aroma that’s big in the nose, I like it. Orange. Malt-sweet taste, with hop bitterness. This is tasty, but nothing amazing as far as IIPAs go.

Thanks Nate. This pours deep gold crystal clear. Aroma is rich and deep with pine and hoppy love. Tastes is sweet and yet very dry and hoppy. Candy. Heavy body. Coats the mouth. Nicely balanced. Very Iight carbonation. Very long lasting hoppy finish.

Pours a clear golden color with a thick white head...decent retention and nice lacing. citrusy aroma...grapefruit, pineapple. Flavor has some spicy hops...grapefruit, and a hint of mango...faint vanilla note? Mouthfeel is lively at first but thins quickly and the finish is bitter, dry, and lingers with more grapefruit.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty strong of the citrus and pine hops. Flavor is also pretty strong of the citrus and pine hops and a hint of caramel malts. Decent bitter finish that lingers.
