4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted 22. Nov -07. But a 2006 bottle. This is a fantastic beer, its very hard to detect any flavors except a sweet maltiness. This do not mean its dull, its the greatest malt taste I have ever found in a beer. You can’t really taste that it is a 9,9% beer, maybe because it is a year old. Overall a very good beer in the winter months

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle. Black with ruby edges and a pied tan-white head. My first sniff was of tar and molasses. Swirling reveals coconut, marzipan and licorice. Black coffee mixed with Cran-Grape; touch of chocolate. Dandelion greens, oily, earthy with muted spices. Odd stuff.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle) Pours dark brown with red hints. Sweet caramel, flower nectar and wet crisp bread maltiness in aroma with notes of marzipan and sugar. Malty, sweet caramel flavour with notes of fruits, chocolate and some flowers. Some tiny hints of clove and raisins both in the aroma and in the flavour. Slightly too fiery with a lingering alcohol sting. Medium body.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Black color, creamy brownish head. Malty vanilla aroma that is a bit roasted. Malty flavor but too much alcohol for my liking.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Deep copper, medium beige head. Roasted malt aroma, with dusty and earthy notes, and a strong alcohol bite. Medium bodied and silky smooth. Dry and well balanced. A good doppelbock but it would probably gain from less alcohol.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Clear, warm, orangey brown with a dense, beige head. Fantastic aroma of overripe fruit. Very full-bodied full of roasted, malty accents with lots of overripe fruit - almost port-like notes. The finish is dry. Excellent. 290607

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Average creamy beige head that really lasted. Good display of lacework. Mahogany color. Aroma of bread, grain, caramel, toasted malt, light floral and fruity notes. Full bodied with an alcoholic texture and a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light hoppy bitterness. Light burned bitter finish. Quit nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown with a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, raisin, caramel and the flavour has nice notes of roasted malt, raisin, caramel, licorice and a light, fruity citrus bitterness. The alcohol is there all the way through, but it’s not bothering, only nice and warming. 2303
