Can. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma is grassy with cereals, hay and a a whiff of malt. Flowery cereal flavour with notes of hops. Decent bitterness, but it has a watery finish which kinda ruins it. Slight notes of plastic in the finish. 22-06-06.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a can. A friend of a friend brought one from Norway. Dark gold body with very little head. Slightly hazy. The aroma is grass and apples with a hint of corn. Taste of potatoes and celery. A green bell pepper finsh. Pretty typical with nothing to make this one stand out from the crowd.

Cask at Oxen restaurant in Hemsedal, Norway.
Pretty much a low cost average get drunk beer. Not much taste or scent to speak of, malty and boring. It was the only beer they had, or I’d be forced to drink wine or water... I managed to drink three of them, but more to have it with my food than for good taste.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pilsner beer. Easy taste to much grainy, short aroma and water edge. To much carbonation, ok color. This is one of the worst beers I know. Some says its popular in Norway, but I really dont know why. Choose something else.....

330ml bottle from a minibar at a hotel in Oslo. Clear, golden colour. Fading head. Refreshing. Watery mouthfeel and too much carbonation. Very neutral on both aroma and flavour. Not much of a beer.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Still, pale golden beer with a white diminishing head. Grainy aroma. Lightly sweet malt-flavor with lots of grains and some hops in the finish. Light to medium body. It is the most popular beer in Norway, and my conclusion from this is that maybe Norwegians don’t really like beer? (060202)

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Quickly subsiding smallish white creamy head with some larger bubbles
sits over clear copper body. Faint aroma of caramel malts with some
notes of butter and almond brittle. Taste is more of the same, with
perhaps more focus on the almond brittle and a quite definite noble
hops taste. Mouthfeel somewhat watery. Slightly off aftertaste, which
is somewhat bitter. Not that good, or really that bad. Boring, and
faintly bad. The bad taste lingers afterwards, which lost it two
points off the overall.
