The perfect supping beer! Our first brew and still the New Forest’s favourite tipple. Best Bitter was awarded Bronze Medal at the Munich Beer Festival in 2005.
Nose: Tempting hop aroma with fruit notes.
Palate: Good malt feel in the mouth, dry, tangy fruit finish.
Comments: Delicious, easy drinking slightly tart pale bitter.

Cask in the North Star, NW3. Dark brown coloured bitter, not much of a head. Feels like an old school English bitter, more at the malty and fruity end. Not very strong flavoured but disappeared rather quickly so I guess very sessionable.

Pours ochre with a light head. Sweet and bitter, fairly flat with an aroma and aftertaste of stewed carrots.

Scopey (11952) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2016
Cask as Razor Back at the Porter & Sorter, Croydon. It pours clear rich amber with a thick white head. The aroma is brown bread, cereal, nut, earth and cereal. The taste is bitter - sweet, wood, cereal, toasted grain, brown bread, nut and light spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Great condition. Pretty alright actually.

Cask at The Woodman, Durham, Ł3.30/pint. Deep brown coloured beer with a thick, off-white head. Both the nose and taste are bittersweet and characterised by cereal grains. Sweetness comes through harder on the late palate, with fruity melon notes detectable. Drinkable but pretty dull bitter.

Cask at Plum Pudding, Milton. As Plum Pudding Best Bitter. Pours copper. Quit thin, fruity bitter. Not bad.

FTA: bitter. I just can’t pass on an opportunity to enjoy it again and again. One of the first bitters I ever tried (~10 y.ago). I loved it when I stayed during summers in England. Mild and easy drinking.

0.568 tap. Clear, copper color and a small, off-white head. Aroma of malts, we grains, and some delicate caramel. Taste is delicate as well, malty sweet and rather standard, uneventful. Light body, thin texture, and flat carbonation. Finish is short, closely follows the taste, perhaps a tad sourer. Overall quite a middling beer.

Cask pint at the Sand Martin, Cardiff. Copper colour, lasting moderate head, slightly off-white. Moderate malty aroma, hints of toffee. Very smooth mouthfeel and flavour, moderately malty but not sweet, a slight fruitiness makes it very drinkable. Decent hops in the aftertaste.

Cask @ The Railway, Hebden Bridge. Copper with a creamy head. Smooth tasting with a smidge of caramel involved. Has a floral-malty nose.

Cask, 1 pint, Moon in the Square, Bournemouth, England, UK. Bursztynowe piwo o puszystej pianie, która ładnie oblepia szkło. W smaku kremowe z wyrazistą goryczka na finiszu.
