2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear pale amber with good white head. Gentle aroma with with grassy hops over caramel. Light body and rather fizzy. Foretaste is gentle land pleasant enough but the taste quickly becomes thin with a rather harsh bitterness. Overall, not very pleasant.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle shared with McTapps. Quite a simple one with some spices and herbs, touch of hops and a cripsy finish. Drinkable, thirst-quenching without hitting the big scores.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, best before 2015-04-30. Clear yellow golden with a medium sized good lacing white head. Eggs, sugary grains, sweet fruits, some biscuit, honey, tea. Light/medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light/medium sweet and bitter. Dominated by esters, not what I expect for the style.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear golden colour with little carbonation, but great head.
Strong hoppy/citrus aroma, vague grassy notes there.
Bitter taste, hoppy notes, not much there.
Goes down smooth, thin bodied.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty average golden ale. Little head, and a well balanced but not particularly strong flavour. Refreshing though I suppose

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours like a lager, same colour and head. Not much of an aroma at all really. Has a certain hoppiness but not over powering. Perfect for enjoying in the sun.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Gold with a thick white top. Just had a discussion with my girlfriend as to what this smelled of the most - foam bananas or foam shrimps. I say shrimps. Touch of lemon in there too. Doesn’t taste like foam - there’s a light zestiness and a bunch of fizz. Slight malts and a little cereal. It’s ok, with a little zing at the finish... but not mindblowing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle with RD after he has completed Old Bag End. This was a malty ale that had plenty of fruity flavour. Went down nicely late in the evening.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fresh malty aroma, with decent light hop flavour. Tastes very much like a cask ale. Decent supermarket light beer.
