Subtly rich marmalade and malty nose. Clear golden beer with minimal white head. Flavour is bright, cheap marmalde on toast. A simple but mouthwateringly effective and well balanced light sweet bitter. Very moreish.

GregClow (2951) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2015
Bottle from Marston’s Classic Ales gift pack at LCBO. Clear golden-copper with a thin head. Mild aroma of biscuity malt and twiggy hops. Flavour follows the aroma exactly. Not a lot else to say - just a well-balanced, middling UK pale ale.

Bottle from Waitrose. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Light carbonation. Aroma of earth, twigs and a light metallic hint. Flavour of lightly roasted malt and copper. Thin body with a watery texture. Boring....

Very mediocre. Nothing exciting. Easy to drink and the carbonation is medium. Watery and bread like taste.
