Bottle. Amber with a White head. Nice yeasty and characterful flavour with some peppery hops. Surprising and quite delicious bitter. I’ve been starved of them for a while. Everyone wants what they can’t have.

Pours an old gold colour and the traditional English hopping comes through with fresh cut grass and fruitiness. Drank with the Duncan’s and RhueMacs at very enjoyable dinner.

Bottle from Morrison’s Saltney. Pours a clear amber with a thick, pillowy creamy white head. Aroma is malty, slightly metallic. Taste is nutty and caramel, malty and slightly spicy. Smooth carbonation and nice mouthfeel. Okay beer, but it’s nothing more than okay. Everything played too safe, nothing stands out!

weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2014
Bottle at home from my local shop. Clear dark gold amber with a frothy almost white head. Aroma of an old fashioned English boozer, flavour is weak and just wasn’t hitting much of what I like hitting.

malty and spicy aroma... the taste malty with notes of lollypop and plum and rather rough hoppy bitterness... aftertaste is bitter and dry...

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Bright amber with a fast fading white head and high carbonation; straightforward malty aroma; lively malty taste with some sweet caramel; and some dry grassy hops adding some light spice to the finish.

This American inspired English Ale has a sharp aroma and taste on the tongue. It pours with a perfect amber colour and a nice fine head. The flavour lingers but isn’t defining.
