metsbcd (82), Connecticut, USA Jun 28, 2008 Decent beer, but pretty average. Not a whole lot to set it apart. Kind of watery, but refreshing and easy to drink.
lithy (572), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jan 7, 2009 Dark orange with a thin quick fizz of off white head. Biscuit and bread aroma, lightly sweet. Taste is more buttery biscuits with a good grassy hoppiness in the finish. GodOfThunder (316), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 15, 2008 Hand pumped draft at Redlight. Pours amber with a thick white head. Mild malt smell and not much else. Light malt flavor, bread and a little caramel. Again, not that much, though. Medium mouthfeel. Beerlando (1565), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 7, 2008 Cask at Redlight Redlight. Pours clear, dark amber in color. A spongy, off-white head shows decent retention, wavy flares and small spots of lacing marking the glass. The aroma is about as mundane as can be, toasty, sweet biscuit notes countered with an almost undetectable hint of floral hops. Flavors go down that same misguided path, overly sweet for the style, too biscuity, and under hopped. There is even an unfortunate metallic overtone that muddies the waters even more. The palate is basically like sugar water, smooth but too sweet, and under-carbonated. This brew has few redeeming qualities. fidelis83 (227), Clinton, Iowa, USA Dec 3, 2008 Pours clear amber with a thin beige head. Aroma is odd. Apples, corroded copper, wet leaves, then caramel, bread pudding, nutty malts and floral hops. Flavor is a little less interesting a little citrus, wet leaves, apples stale bread and floral hops. The finish is pretty clean with a nice bitter and spice twist. Aftertaste is a bit maple smoke like. redlight (1100), Winter Park, Florida, USA Nov 29, 2008 cask at redlight redlight. ringwood yeast aromas, fruity, spicy, caramel malts, with some spicy hops. Pours amber with a thick white head and wonderful lacing in the glass. Fruity yeast and malt flavors with hints of grassy hops. A definite session beer.
