Bottle, 500ml. *** Colour: Deep, reddish, clear amber. Big off-white head. *** Nose: Fruity and malty aroma, with a hint of grass and herbs. *** Mouthfeel: Medum boy, mildly creamy. St carbontion. *** Taste: Mildly sweetish start with redcurrant and biscuit malt. Nice balance with floral hops, which grow stringer towards the middle. Fruity notes disappear only to return in the modestly bitter finish. Long, malty and floral aftertaste. *** Impressions: A very smooth, beautifully balanced premium bitter, thus eminently drinkable. Not the most characterful of its kind, but its red berries are certainly very appealing.

More to this than I expected. Looks like a typical English bitter, and the malt base is nothing unusual, but thereís a big dose of red fruit in there. Berries redcurrants and almost strawberry. Finish is nice and bitter. Body not as thin as previous reviews suggest.
