Orange toffee color. Small off-white head. Little lacing. Nice mixture of hops and malt. Orange marmalade. Taste is a creamy caramel and malt. Some dark fruits. Some sweetness but balanced well with a slight bitterness. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Sainsburys. Deep copper colour, quite high carbonation, good white head. Sweet malty beer, caramel and warm brown bread, fruity, but then also some nice hoppy flavours, marmelade of oranges, just enough bitterness. Drinks very nicely. A malty beer, well done. I find these darker stronger beers by far the best of Ringwood’s efforts.

Belle robe cuivrée, limpide, grosse carbo, collet moyen persistant, belle dentelle. Aromes faible caramel et champ de fleur, pointe de fruits sucrés ou miel. Relativement mince, bon equilibre sucre/amertume, final sur l’amertume prolongée mais pas trop seche

Approve! Decent dark, malty ale, and £1.50. Very much in the mold of Adnams Broadside. Wholesome mellanoidin flavours. A bit too astringent. Uncanny head retention. Bravo.

Bottle. Dark copper beer with small head and some lacing. Aroma of malts and caramel. The taste is also malts and caramel with some mild bittering hops. Touching medium bodied. Decent for a pasteurised bottle.
