Faint aromas of grains, amber malts and herbs. Brownish copper with a one finger size foam. Subtle bitter hops upfront with a pleasant brown sugar, maple, candied caramel and sweet honey malt base. Overall, pretty basic flavor but smooth and enjoyable.

Aroma: bread and caramel malts. Appearance: dark clear gold / amber, very small white head. Taste: light sweet and bitter. Palate: malty sweets at first, bread, grain and caramel, getting lightly bitter towards the average-long finish. Overall: decent ESB, but does not stand out against the fierce competition in this style. Bottle from Sainsburyís, Pimlico.

Pale copper-coloured beer with a decent frothy head and a strong scent of malt and banana. Flavour has caramel, toasty malt flavours with a bitterness in the back of the mouth and the banana comes through in an airy finish in the mouth.

Bottle, 500ml. A copper beer with a big creamy head that disappears after a couple of minutes. Aroma is of caramel, roasted malt and alcohol. Taste is bitter, but not very strong. Maybe somewhat watery. I have a problem with the temperature, but I was told I drank it at the correct temperature. I have tasted serveral Premium Bitters and there is something off with this beer. Nevertheless, I think is very drinkable, as most Premium Bitters are.

Bottle, 500ml. Clear orange/copper with a fluffy offwhite head thatís gone in a minute. Strong grainy aroma: cereal, straw and dought yeast, with hints of caramel and spices. Creamy, but a bit thin bodied. Pleasant cereal and roasted character, but maybe a touch watery. Nice, bitter finish and extremely drinkable, all that I ask from a bitter.

Bottle - pours reddy amber with a small off white head which fades to a ring. Aroma of oak and caramel. Taste of grassy bitter hops, liquorice, pine and some lemon in the aftertaste. Light bitterness, light sweetness, medium body, light carbonation.

Bottle from tesco. Copper ale with a good thick off white head. Aroma of caramel and honey with lots of malts and a bit of hop. Taste is same but a bit metallic too. Medium - heavy body and pleasant subtle carbonation. Decent.

Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a big Guinness glass, ABV 5.1% Deep copper orange colour on the body with a small and thin off-white head on top. Okay retention. Spots of lacing left around the glass. Aroma of caramel mostly, some prunes, sweet malts. Taste also of caramel, english hops, biscuit, prunes, light raisins. Good bitterness with a long duration too. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Mildly dry palate. Overall quite good, surely better than expected.

Bottle. Darkcopper with a thick light tan head. Nose is tea, caramel and syrup. Taste is heady, giving a slight alcohol (this could be because the bottle has aged a little), some dark berries, caramel, biscuits, banana and some light chocolate. Delicious! Not sure if this is because itís over a year after itís sell-by-date or if itís always this tasty. Needs retesting :)

Little aroma, decent taste for type of beer, but not my favourite style. Pleasant enough.

I really like this one. Nice, dark caramel color. Not much to the aroma although what's there is good. The taste has a very crisp feel and a very calm hop finish on the palate. If the price would allow it, I'd drink it all night. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
