2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at Potters Bar, Meir Heath (Marstonís) A slightly hazy deep amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of fruity malt, slightly tart apple, caramel and spicy hops. Taste of caramel, nuts, apple, wood, raisin and some spicy hops. Medium bodied but an astringent texture. A tart, spicy apple finish. Quite disappointing, I was expecting more. Just a syrupy strong bitter.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear amber beer. White head. Slightly sweet, maybe a touch too much. A bit more malt comes through in the aftertaste to balance it out. I think I prefer the bottle.
