2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2003 Big, lofty and lasting head above a clear amber. Mouthfeel was soft, light, maybe even a bit watery with a light carbonation. Malts had notes of caramel and toffee, though subdued. Lingering bitterness has a flowery aroma. Only slightly cloying.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2005 In a blind tasting, I think anyone could mistake this for an English ESB. Actually a very good ale that reminds me alot of Fullers and other English brews. Nice bittery malt flavor that intensifies as it warms. Overall a good ale that I will buy again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
600 beers with no end in sight. On draught in the terminal of the Orlando airport. One of the more entertaining names for a beer I have seen lately. Pours a light amber color with a thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is malty with a nice fruit bouquet. Buttery caramel malt flavor was nicely sweet over a medium body. Very light hops in the finish. Not too complex but solid.

Light amber color. Poor aroma. Pretty smooth, a residual sweetness and some caramel, but not enough malty nor hoppy.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Old Thumper has nice hoppy nose. The flavor is on the hop side of balanced but there's plenty of malt in there as well.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and caramel. A medium bodied ale, Malts are mild, slightly sweet and fruity. Apples and vanilla. Hops are very dry and somewhat floral. There is a very distinct orange flavor to this beer. Slightly bittering, and there is a strange aftertaste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a touch astringent.
