Had a nice malty aroma, hints of hops, well balanced yet somewhat malty flavor with a notable hop finish. Very nice brew.

Sweet floral hops play with caramel malt in the nose. Pale amber colour with two finger white head that diminishes to a thick cover. Caramel very noticeable in the flavour, balanced by a good, strong bitterness. Fruitiness appears in the finish. Lively carbonation and medium body. An excellent pale ale. Very enjoyable. Bottle.

Pours a clear, coppery color from the bottle with a thick white head. Smells like beer. A little grassy and earthy. Nice flavor. Buttery and silky flavors and mouthfeel. Some nutty and caramel malt flavors. Smooth finish. This is a really good beer.

This is a very good applewood ale with a very pleasing scent once allowed to open up in the pint. This beer is very good for quaffing and tastes especially good in the brisk fall out by a campfire with a good cigar. Sometimes it is served cask-conditioned pumped from downstairs , where it is brewed in the original Shipyard brewery underneath Federal Jacks in Kennebunport, Maine.

Good stuff! Similar to Pigs Ear by Woodstock Brewery. I wasn’t sure what to expect with a beer whose name reminded me of a cartoon character from Bambi. But has a nice little hoppy flavor with a good after taste. Recommended.

12oz bottle pours a lively copper with a pleasant off white head. Aromas of cereal malts bread and dough some carmel malts and some sour banana. Flavor is bitter with a bit of sour which actually balances nice. Body is meduim and mouth feel is very good. Finish is a bit dry and leaves a bit of sourness behind

Poured from bottle. Way past due date, oh well. Aroma of hops, caramel, bread which greets you nicely as you drink. Semi clear amber, nice look. Caramel and cake in the flavor, along with the hops. Kinda a hybrid between a belgian and an IPA. Finished quite nicely. I’m quite pleased with this brew. This would make a great everyday beer.

Pours light brown with mild carbonation. Aroma of sweet flower and banana. Taste is sweet with a biscuit like flavor and a rich but subtle earthy bitnerness in the after taste. Mellow but crisp in the finish. I like this beer an want to have more if the style.
