BEERGUY007 (168), Scotia, New York, USA Apr 30, 2008 12 ounce bottle, from Glenville beverage. Off white head, nice appearance. Malty, nutty, hoppy, it is an extra special beer. I liked it and will get this one again.
bconley (2), Orlando, Florida, USA does not count Jul 22, 2008 Got "thumped" at the Bull & Bush. Liked this beer. Had it on cask and found it to be kind of bitter. Careful with this one...for some reason.....be careful marcus (918), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 18, 2008 This golden ale poured with a bubbly off-white head that dissipated right away. The aroma is sour caramel. The flavor starts off malty sweet, but quickly turns to a bitter finish - a bit thin, but refreshing. astrofrk (27), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 13, 2008 Amber. Small. fast head.
Aroma: Fruit, caramel, malt.
Flavor: Caramel dominates malt & earthy hops. Caramel finish.
This is a beer that could double in the candy section. Doesn’t seem like a bitter but is very good. Personally, I feel it is a tad under-rated. Crafty07 (331), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Jun 30, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle, this American take on a British style bitter is a smooth, sessionable ale with pleasant, slightly nutty body that belies its belligerent name and label art.
Dont listen to the snobs on this site, Roger Protz has this on his list as one of the 300 beers to try before you die! Try it. metsbcd (79), Connecticut, USA Jun 28, 2008 Decent beer, but pretty average. Not a whole lot to set it apart. Kind of watery, but refreshing and easy to drink.
