Pours a copper color with small fizzy head and no lacing. Aroma candy sweetness, yeast and booze. Taste of candy sweetness, bit of malt and spice. Odd bitterness and a medicine aftertaste. Fairly light body, smooth and boozy. Bought it as the label caught my eye....should have known better.

Bottle at Andy’s for New Years Eve. Pours a clear gold (triple bock, what?) with a thin white head. Grainy and papery on the nose, rather sweet. Papery, grainy, sweet and weird. Warm sweet alcohol. Grain and paper all through it. Meh.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber body with light white lacing. Aroma is sweet bread, candy and malt. Mouthfeel is pretty dull with notes of sweet malt, toast, corn cereal and very light booze. Tastes like a cheap, strong lager.

stevoj (1972) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 27, 2013
Sweet and pungent, but no alcohol burn surprisingly. Heavy grain presence in aroma and taste. Only one reason to drink this ... to get drunk. Mission accomplished! Sweet and grainy....but relatively smooth

500 ml bottle. Served in a mug, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold/amber color with a half inch off-white head. Head retention is decent, and there isn’t much lacing at all. The brew smells like bready/grainy malt, sugar and booze. Unfortunately the taste is similar to the aroma. I think it tastes mostly like sugary booze, with some grainy malt noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s syrupy and coating with low/moderate carbonation. This certainly wasn’t one of the better brews I’ve had lately. But I also finished the bottle without a problem so it wasn’t exactly awful either. $2.49 a bottle.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 2/10   PALATE 1/5   OVERALL 4/20
EtTuCthulhu (992) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - NOV 16, 2013
The beer has a clear golden color with a slight orange tint to it with a barely there white head, and the aroma blends a sweet yeast, bread malts, and a hint of booze quite nicely. The taste is quite sour, a touch sweet, and quite hard to drink, and the palate combines a medium body, oily texture, and a flat carbonation. But the finish is even worse; it is truly the worst part of this beer. Just awful tasting.
