2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Community Food Co-op - N Forest St, Bellingham, WA
Darker shade of blond, clear, with medium sized compact head. The aroma is light, there is some fusel and plastic. Strong body, with round mouthfeel, but also a bit oily; there is a light fruity touch but also some chemicals; it’s fairly sweet, and the alcohol gives a quite boozy feeling.
Big Heller Bock. Weird, excessive, but not as terrible as expected; no need to try this again.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
I couldn’t even begin to guess where this came from, this dude Chuck gave it to me a told me to try it. Murky deep gold with a awful dissipating bubbly white head. Acetaldehyde, potpourri, floral aroma with boozy sweetened malts. Flavor is the same with a big syrupy bozze laden body that burn all the way down. WOOF.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Palm Springs. Super sweet nose. Hazy amber with a lot of sediment. Mild carbonation. Super sweet. Candyish flavors. A bit of a musty flavor. Sweet dominated, but I do detect a bit of dark fruit. Alcohol is very well hidden. Not bad.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
16.9oz bottle, shared. This bottle says "L.92312" on the back. My label was upside-down vs the one pictured here, with the "AFTER" on top. Clear orange color. Minimal white head. Syrupy honey herbal medicinal flavor. Definitely a kick, significant bite. Big caramel malt. Cloyingly sweet. All this, with just teeny tiny sips. Bigger body. Kind of a sharp carbonation. Terrible astringent bitter aftertaste. Worse than medicine. Like straight fuel, just nauseating. Wow, it’s almost impressive how bad this manages to be. Drain pour

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Well, I can’t believe the incredibly harsh ratings this beer has garnered. The beer is gold, maybe deep gold, with a thin head that does fade, oh well ... Aroma is a delicious malt sweetness with floral notes and a touch of earth. Flavor is a balance of yummy malt/candy and a light, zesty hoppiness. Clean. Body is on the heavy, syrupy side, but the whole thing is delicious and tasty, especially with the weather cooling down as it is here. Much better than I was expecting, much better that what it could have been. My two companions, who are not beer snobs but are still prone to offer critical analysis of a beer, thought it was tasty as well.

This is a horrible beer. Only good for chugging to get you drunk quick. Not recommended at all.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 500 ml bottle labeled as Premium Lager but at 12%ABV. Medium copper pour, thin white head that sticks around a while with a trace of lacing. Aroma is sweet and sticky with some maple syrup notes, a hint of cotton candy. Flavor is decidedly sweet as well with some molasses, a hint of cotton candy, some maple syrup. Mouthfeel is thick enough. 12% ABV is deceptively hidden. Decent.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Like a previous rater, the label on my bottle calls this a premium lager. Bottle pour into lager glass. The cheap price and the high ABV made me apprehensive and the orange-gold color and lack of carbonation did not help.
It was not as bad as I feared. Very slick, heavy palate; sweet corn taste with a dull alcohol finish. I agree with the rater who dubbed this an imperial malt liquor.
