This is a horrible beer. Only good for chugging to get you drunk quick. Not recommended at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

PorterPounder (5542) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2012
Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 500 ml bottle labeled as Premium Lager but at 12%ABV. Medium copper pour, thin white head that sticks around a while with a trace of lacing. Aroma is sweet and sticky with some maple syrup notes, a hint of cotton candy. Flavor is decidedly sweet as well with some molasses, a hint of cotton candy, some maple syrup. Mouthfeel is thick enough. 12% ABV is deceptively hidden. Decent.

Like a previous rater, the label on my bottle calls this a premium lager. Bottle pour into lager glass. The cheap price and the high ABV made me apprehensive and the orange-gold color and lack of carbonation did not help. It was not as bad as I feared. Very slick, heavy palate; sweet corn taste with a dull alcohol finish. I agree with the rater who dubbed this an imperial malt liquor.

Aside from having what is possibly one of the greatest labels I’ve ever seen, there’s not a lot that’s good with this beer. There is a lot of sweetness in this one without getting that weird lager taste. Golden color with no appreciable head.

I have to wonder if my beer is actually a new twist on this beer. It has After on top, Before below, and it says Premium Lager and 1%, which doesn’t match with the rest of this. Looks like most of the rest of these beers. Boy, the headache is her, and I still have another beer from these guys to go tonight. Tomorrow is going to be tough. :(

Pours like warm piss, doesn't taste much better. Smoother than most beers that strong. Not for me

bottle - Pours clear, deep orange with a minimal head. It smells of indeterminate malts and alcohol. The flavor is really sweet with obvious alcohol presence and a warming finish. This really isn’t a very good beer. I expected terrible though. It’s not terrible.
