4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 EtTuCthulhu (396) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 2, 2013
The aroma is reminiscent of molasses, honey, toasted malts, dates, and sweet bread yeast, and the appearance combines an orangeish golden with a large white head that dissipates quickly to a ring. The taste is mildly sweet, slightly sour, slightly umami, and a touch bitter; also, the palate fuses a medium body, soft carbonation, long finish, and a thick texture.
3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Butters (3321) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - NOV 20, 2008
Pours a nice clear gold with some white head. Aroma is very sweet, fruity, grainy, a little musty, and a touch of spiciness. I was really digging on this aroma for some weird reason. Sweet grainy flavor, with some notes of bubblegum and vanilla, but not like a typical belgian. Medium smooth chewy body with low carbonation. Alcohol on the finish leaves ya feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Lots of tasty alcohol at a low price. Nice job.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BeerHawk (1748) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - APR 14, 2009
Bottle. Poured golden with a creamy white head that settles quickly. Sweet malt aroma with a light backing of fruits and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with caramel and honey. Medium body.

Look, this beer is pretty dang malty. And as the previous rater stated, the 9.5% is well hidden. Had a flavor that kinda reminded me of some of the brews put out by Spaten. Seemed better to me than what most of you rated it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Randhurst (7) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 19, 2013 does not count
Nice golden color ith tints of gren from the hops i’d believe. Tastes of quality barely, wheat, and decent hops. The 9.4% alc. is masked very well and takes effect smoothly. Goes down nicely. There’s nothing really wrong with this beer.

Zwonk! Biff! Blort! It’s kind of like 60’s Batman. It’s aroma is malty alchohol. It’s flavor is the same. It’s appearance and palate are carbonated. It is clean amber. It’s feel is a bit to astringent for me, but it’s actually otherwise ok.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hombrepalo (1623) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2009
Bigo 550ml bottle, given to me by a buddy of mine for my bachlors party. Poured clear amber with nice head. Smell of grains, malts, dirt, and grass. Taste is sweet, lots of alcohol presence with carbonation, similar tastes to the description of the smell. Drinkable but not a beer I would buy. Don’t really know where he got this from.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Rustyham (1633) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2009
surprisingly sweet, this guy is ver crips and refreshing, does not at all taste like beer or alcohol. Almost like a cider. That 9.5% is well hidden.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 19, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2009 500 ml. Sampled on New Years Eve 2007, but couldn’t figure out how to enter a new beer on the site! Golden with a medium-sized and lasting head. Typical honey and grass aroma. Flavor is a nice balance of the same, slightly tilted to the honey side on the front and a hint of a grassy-hop finish. I thought the alcohol was well-hidden. Body is light-medium and sort of smooth; nice winter warmer lager.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 paultheguru (650) - Parker, Colorado, USA - SEP 27, 2010
A: snifter. pours a nice vibrant yellow color, with a solid white head. moderate retention level and mild lacing.
S: very fruity aroma, some berries with a hint of honey. light citrus hop aroma, but very faint.
T: not as sweet as I expected, but there are some serious honey tones to this. light citrus flavors, along with some fruitness, like bananas and berries. nice lingering aftertaste.
M: a little thick, with a very crisp palate. carbonation level is moderate, but this beer is just really easy to drink.
D: very drinkable for 9.4% but I think one will do the trick for me. very interesting and enjoyable. the best euro strong lager I have had.
