3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into a pint glass. Cloudy golden color with minimal head.
Smells like lemon cotton candy, if such a thing exists.
Fairly sweet throughout. Slight bitterness at the end. Not nearly bitter enough for the style, but still enjoyable.
Crisp, moderate carbonation and medium body.
I actually enjoyed this pilsener more than most because it isn’t bitingly bitter. The lack of any head held it back but it was nice.

3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very light scent. Cereal palate, with a very crisp finish. Low on carbonation. Nice white head, that corrected very quickly. The beer is fine. I could probably pound quite a few. Very low flavor profile in general. Basically a "light" beer

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Pale yellow, fairly vibrant and clear, moderate frothy white head, little lacing.   Very pale bready nose, super soft, hardly any straw, hay, or grass.   Touch of sweat tho.   Sweet grassy start, better than the nose suggested.   Fairly clean, not husky, a touch mealy tho but its minor.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes pretty smooth, flavorful, but with a slight sweaty and mealy background.   Not enough to really detract, but its there.   Pedestrian example, and too light on the nose.   Otherwise okay.   Thanks Bill!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rio Grande’ Desert Pilsner has the thinnest, little white head, a hazy, very bubbly, yellow-golden appearance, and good lacing left behind. The aroma is strong and nice- sweet, pungent, bready malt, a bit of grass, and a slight hop zing. Taste is of sweetness and bitterness, which work together exquisitely to present a biscuit-like flavor, with a lovely yeast undertone. Mouthfeel is medium and prickly, and Rio Grande’ Desert Pilsner finishes crisp, clean refreshing, and quite drinkable. Overall, this is a delicious beer, and I strongly advise trying it out! RJT

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the ABQ Pub, a straw-gold pour, bready aroma, crisp, slightly hoppy palate - certainly drinkable but not inspired.

12 oz. bottle served in stein from Lawernce Bros. IGA in Ruidoso, NM. Served a transparent yellow color, medium carbonation, head quickly went away after I set up the laptop outside while looking at the mountains. Aroma of some hops and some wheat. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, very light malt combined with a rapid hop bite, finish is a little dry. Overall, a bit one dimensional. Just another tick to me.

This beer just lingers too much without that sharp Pilsner finish. Not crisp like I prefer.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ the Great Best Wesern Las Cruces tasting of 2013 with yarn connoisseur, Rachel. Pours a clear yellow appearance with a pearl white head. Really rich pale grainy malty, big straw, quite herbal aroma. A touch sweet, a bit corny, rich straw, herbal/floral, somewhat spicy hoppy, straw flavor. Not bad.

What can you say? It’s nice, not offensive and a bit dry and spicy on the toungue. I would definitely pick this over BMC...
