3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 GJF (1078) - Mount Vernon, Iowa, USA - MAY 9, 2013
OK, I confess the numbers are meaningless here. It’s one of the beers I drank during my family reunion in Santa Fe, but I don’t really recall it and my notes aren’t quite helpful. Yet I wanted to include it in my list. I’ll remember it next time!

This was a pretty good standard IPA. The hops are there but quite a bit of caramelly malts as well. I enjoyed it.

Golden with a white head. The aroma is full of floral hops with some biscuit malt notes. Flavor is more of the same. I get some lighter biscuit and pale malts, as well as some floral and perfume-like hops. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle @ the Great Best Western Las Cruces tasting of 2013 with yarn connoisseur, Rachel. Pours a bit hazy, burnt orange appearance with an off white head. Spicy, somewhat resiny, grapefruity hoppy, light cat pee, toasty malty aroma. Tangy, spicy, a bit peppery, piney, grapefruity hoppy flavor. A bit over the top but not bad.

Pours a nice cloudy honey color in the glass. Nice sweet citrus and banana aroma. Muted piney bitter flavor with a slight bitter citrus tang at the end. Overall, a drinkable brew but not too complex.

Draft at ABQ brewpub. Pours yellow with a thin white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Slight floral note on the nose. It does coat the tongue. Slight hop flavor with a touch of bitterness. Meh!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 scottyshades (126) - Parkland, Florida, Florida, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Thanks to knm for the bottle
A: Pours a slightly hazed caramel color with a small sopay cap, retention is decent
S: mellow nose, piny and resinous, caramel malts, and earthy yeast. Pretty malt forward, kind of grassy
T: interesting flavor..not really what you would expect from an IPA, but more pale ale like. Lots of malts, caramel, grassy and herbal hops. Bitterness is lower than normal
MF/D: Medium body, herbal/vegetal finish, carbonation is nice. Pretty drinkable but not really typical of the style

Copper color in the glass. Aroma of citrus, pine, and resiny hops. Moderate bitterness on the palate. A middle of the road IPA.
