COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A very light colored, full-flavored lager, this beer is called ’StarkBier’ in Germany. An all malt version of a malt liquor, this beer is smooth and warming. With no colored malts, this beer is very Pale in color. Using small additions of quality Saaz hops for low hop bitterness and great hop flavor, just enough to enhance the malty flavor. The alcohol sweetness, and the high carbonation bite, this beer is very well balanced. Very light in flavor, the character of the lager yeast is evident in this Spring Classic.

12oz bottle(10/02)-A golden body with a decent head and an aroma of malts. Taste the same with some sweetness. The alcohol was hidden very well. Nice tasting brew.

Courtesy of Boackyhorsey. <P> Huge sourdough bread aroma. Cloudy orange with a big two ginger head that stays firm as you drink it. Sour fore with some sweetness in the middle, orange citrus, and a crisp abrupt finish. Alcohol is well hidden as it does not feel at all like 8%

Bottle. Had an almost stale malty aroma. Gold color with decent head that dimmished to a thin layer on top of beer. With thin dimmishing heads on beer seems to bring a lot of lacing, this one didn’t. Sweet hop flavor that went down good on the palate. Decent beer.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy (barely but noticeable) neon-yellow/golden color with a medium head that fell to a nice layer of lace. A few bubbles continually floated to the top, but it did not look to be over carbonated. Initial aroma is very fresh, very light and subtle sweet malt, with ever so slight hints of fruit, and wet hay. The alcohol is masked very well for having 8%. Flavor is quite sweet; good hop (flower buds) flavor, strong malt base, and a yeasty tangy finish. It all works very well, and is quite refreshing to drink. Body is medium, and the carbonation dances on your tongue, it might swallow a little chalky, but still a very solid beer. Would Buy Again.

Clear golden color. Sweet fruity-malty aroma. Sweet initial taste almost cherry-like. A little bitter on the palate, semi smooth on the mouthfeel. Interesting character. The aftertaste lingers. Different yet somewhat appealing.

Draft. A nice looking beer. Pale, clear yellow. Smallish head. Slightly sweet aroma. And a sweet start that quickly became, alternatingly, Hay, horseblanket, and a fresh barnyard. Not one I'd seek out again.
