8.2% San Diego-style IPA with complex grapefruit, lemon, tangerine and pine-like character. The hops are supported by a clean, dry and bready background character. We made this beer for all of you big hoppy beer lovers. This beer won’t last long, so get it before we drink it all.

Draft at NP Tasting Room. Aroma is grapefruit/citrus with hops and an initial taste of a pleasant citrus hoppiness. Palate is left crisp with a hint of bitterness. Above average San Diego IPA, which is saying a lot! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught @ Festival of Dankness, San Diego, CA. Pours a golden colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of juicy citrusy hops, orange and quite strong caramel notes. Flavour of crisp citrusy bitterness, heavy caramel sweetness, biscuit and gooseberries. Medium bodied. Rather heavy and too sweet for my taste.

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of caramely malts, some grassy hops. Taste is sweetish, malty and grainy with some herbal notes. Finish is grainy and harsh grassy with stuffy notes. Meh.

Golden with a white head - Good hop aroma with some pine in it - Good malt body to support a good hop profile with citrus and some pine flavours - Good hop finish with some bitterness and dryness - This was real good

My Bottom Line:
This elegant Double IPA shares citrus fruit and ginger-like spiciness before moving into piney resins and their tasty bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A healthy head of foam decorates the shiny golden.
-Cereals are delicate and mostly offer a honey coulis.
-The mouthfeel is agreeably lean for the style.
-Drinkability is very high for an 8% brew.

On tap at Slater’s 50/50, San Diego.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like hop resin, grapefruit, pine hops, caramel. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like grapefruit, pine, hop resin, and light caramel.
