Commercial Description:
A beer after the traditional recipe of brewmaster Stig Anker Andersen, this beer is a real adventure for the taste buds. It looks good and tastes great. The deep mahogany-red color is derived from a mixture of Pale Ale barley malt, caramel malt, black malt and toasted wheat. The hops used are English First Gold and American Cascade. The taste is complex, first malty with a tinge of liquorice, followed by a fantastic aromatic and fruity and bitter aftertaste. Especially imported English brewer's yeast and local ground water is used for this unique brew.

Sampled at home with friends. Amber colour with decent head. Caramel and diacetyl in aroma. Edgy mouthfeel and poor maltiness. Low on caramel in flavour. Nothing stands out here.

500 ml bottle. Low tan head. Plain brown colored body. Skunked hops and sour-sweet malts in the aroma. Vapid taste of unfresh malts. Harsh hopbitterness. Mid-bodied. Cardboardy finish. Disappointing.

50cl bottle: Pours amber with a creamy off white head. Aroma is of bread & caramel. Taste has roasted malts/caramel & fruits. Dry & thin palate. Some sourness - perhaps the raisins. Not really impressed!

Dark red brown color, and quickly dissapearing head. Weak roast malt and caramel aroma.. Medium boodied with rounded but mellow mouthfeel and medium bitterness.
