English: A beer after the traditional recipe of brewmaster Stig Anker Andersen, this beer is a real adventure for the taste buds. It looks good and tastes great. The deep mahogany-red color is derived from a mixture of Pale Ale barley malt, caramel malt, black malt and toasted wheat. The hops used are English First Gold and American Cascade. The taste is complex, first malty with a tinge of liquorice, followed by a fantastic aromatic and fruity and bitter aftertaste. Especially imported English brewer’s yeast and local ground water is used for this unique brew.

(3) Not worth buying. The taste is gone quick. Nothing too exciting. A bland beer - I was hoping for more action.

Mahognifarvet med offwhite skumkrone. Let syrlig aroma og en smule sødme. Ristet malt. Smagen er bittersød med chokolade noter. Overvægt på det søde. Halvtør mundfølelse. Bittersød, tør og kort afslutning. Lidt for sød.

Crystal clear, deep amber body with a beige, long-lived head. Malty, sweet and strong aroma that is dominated by dark caramel. There are also roasted notes, chocolate and dark dried fruits. Rather strong flavour that follows the aroma, but with additional notes of alcohol. A bit stinging and slightly metallic caramalt bitterness. Mid-bodied and moderately carbonated. Not particularly interesting,

Dark amber to brown color. Clear. Decent head with some lasting power. A good blanket of lace but it slides off the glass. A blend of burnt black patent malt and darker crystal malt. This makes the smell be like burnt toast and molasses. The flavor is like the aroma, but with a bit of chocolate. Enough hop in the finish to provide balance. Lots of spritz from the carbonation. The body is neutral. The aftertaste has a stronger dose of bitterness from both the burnt malt and the modest hop.

Pours dark brown with a red hue and a medium creamy off-white head, good persistence, lots of lacing. The aroma is of roasted malts, bits of chocolate, dark fruits, light hops. The smell is really nice with some sugar and caramel. The taste is light sweet, medium bitter. Smooth palate, pretty nice brown.

Copenhagen 15/4 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Pours clear dark brown with off-white head. Dissolves to 0,5 cm thick lacing. Aroma is a little sweet and fruity with notes of caramel. Medium carbonation. Taste is suprisingly bitter with only a little fruity sweetness. Bitter coffee in the aftertaste. A bitter surprise - but not a bad one.

0.5 bottle. Clear, brown color with a reddish tinge and a small, off-white head of good retention. Aroma of dark malts, wood, grain, some fruits, delicate cascade hops. Taste is obviously sweet, malty, a tad salty, some licorice. Medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is much fruitier, a tad sourer, quite soft and soothing. Overall a standard beer in this style, nothing to brag about.
