Danish.

English: Our India Pale Ale is traditionally brewed out of water, pale ale barley malt, dry roasted wheat, hops and brewer’s yeast. The result is a strong, aromatic, extra-hopped and beautiful golden beer. The IPA is a classic sailor’s beer, with an extra addition of the natural conserving element of hops so that the beer could keep though the long sea journey around the Cape all the way to India, when it was a British colony. The joke is of course that the beer was so good that it never made it off the island, and stayed to become a typical English pub beer.

Bottle from Super Brugsen - golden pour with small white head. Sweet malty and fruity, grassy, too sweet and pretty rough round the edges, not great.

Lys og klar, med tyndt og luftig skum. Tydelig og kraftig maltet aroma, dufter måske mere af pilsner end IPA. Smagen har fin styrke, men måtte gerne være lidt mere humle bitter som IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served from bottle after a couple of months with cold temperature. Light orange (hazy), medium head that disappears after some time.Odour is great; sweet and fresh and reminds of early spring. Taste is also very good, because it’s one of few IPA I have tasted, which sweetness lasts into the end. Not bitter at all and not too sweet. After a while the beer becomes kind of boring though.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops with touches of fruit and yeast. Strong flavour of yeast and hops but above all alcohol. Bitter aftertaste with unpleasant boozy notes. Basically, everything is wrong with this beer. It looks and tastes like a cheap Strong Pale Lager, it smells like some misshapen Saison, and it is called India Pale Ale, which it in no way can claim to be. This is bad. Very bad.

bottle, picked up in a copenhagen supermarket. light golden with a minimal head; not much ipa character, just a grassy aroma, light body, light caramel and modest bitterness

Basic impression: Nearly destroyed with the addition of E300 (Ascorbic Acid) - what a shame. 1. Minimal hop-aroma, slightly pilsner-malt like smell and most dominantly a sour, not exactly pleasant smell, that I think is due to ascorbic acid and not cascade hops... Dry hops addition would properly be beneficial 2. Average appearance. The beer is clearly filtered - I’m not a big fan of that. 3. A bit boring! Some slightly off flavors (maybe Acetaldehyde and definitely sourness..) Decent hop taste but it should have been way more pronounced. 4. Light to medium body. Good carbonation level. Long appropriately bitter finish. Overall - A below average IPA further halted by ascorbic acid sourness and largely lack of hop-tast and aroma.
