Ærø Påske Ale is brewed by water, Pale Ale barley malt, Crystal barley malt, Black barley malt, and wheat malt. Goldings hops is added during the boil twice, and the used ale yeast completes this traditionally brewed easter ale. The color is deer dark red and the flavor is filling, soft, and rounded with nice aromatic hop notes, though not too bitter. Serving temperature 10-13 degrees centigrade.

Flaske: Ravfarvet klar øl med et stort skumhoved. Al for sød duft af malt på en ikke så charmerende måde. Smagen er også alt for sød. Nærmest udrikkelig sød. Ikke en særlig rar øl.

0.5 bottle. Clear, dark crimson color and a large, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of malts, alcohol, sweet bread, sugar, and caramel. Taste is also sweet, again malty, somewhat metallic. Medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish smacks of candy malts. Overall a standard amber ale, don’t see why the average is so low.

Pours clear amber with a little white head. Has an aroma of roasted malts, caramel and alcohol. Taste like caramel and burnt sugar with a hint of pine.

Copenhagen 28/3 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Pours clear amber with small white head which dissipates quickly. Got a serious cold so my sense of smell is rather impaired. But I can smell some sweetness and roasted malts. Fizzy prickly carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet with some caramel and a short finish. Too sweet and too short for my taste.

10 year old bottle, pretty good for the age and ABV, a bit thin and slightly oxidised, but still a little fruity and toffeeish.

Bottled 500ml. -Cola coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, slightly nutty and touch of metal with hint of hops in the finish. Too sweet and one-dimensional.

Bare ikke god - smager ikke af meget, og da slet ikke af en frisk omgang påske.

Bottle at home. Low but lasting fluffy off-white head. Clear and good looking red brown body. Sweet aroma roasted malt caramel with a weak hint of apples. Sweet and mild roasted malt honey flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish.
