Ærø Påske Ale is brewed by water, Pale Ale barley malt, Crystal barley malt, Black barley malt, and wheat malt. Goldings hops is added during the boil twice, and the used ale yeast completes this traditionally brewed easter ale. The color is deer dark red and the flavor is filling, soft, and rounded with nice aromatic hop notes, though not too bitter. Serving temperature 10-13 degrees centigrade.

50 cl bottle. Slightly hazy amber colour with a creamy, lightly tanned head. Good looking. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, toasted notes, bread and grasses. Sweet fruitiness. Taste is sweet and toasted. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with toasted notes and fruits. Okay Amber given the price and origin.

Bottled 500ml. -Cola coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, slightly nutty and touch of metal with hint of hops in the finish. Too sweet and one-dimensional.

0.5 bottle. Clear, dark crimson color and a large, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of malts, alcohol, sweet bread, sugar, and caramel. Taste is also sweet, again malty, somewhat metallic. Medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish smacks of candy malts. Overall a standard amber ale, don’t see why the average is so low.

Copenhagen 28/3 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Pours clear amber with small white head which dissipates quickly. Got a serious cold so my sense of smell is rather impaired. But I can smell some sweetness and roasted malts. Fizzy prickly carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet with some caramel and a short finish. Too sweet and too short for my taste.
