2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 NosirIwont (1733) - Aalborg Vestby, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with a diminishing beige head. Aroma is sweet with a tart apple-like note, bordering on nail polish. Malt and a bit of molasses in the back. As it warms, a clove-like spicy note appears, accompanied by notes of nuts. Sweet, slightly dusty, malty flavour with a tart overtone. Slight notes of wood, and the same clove-like spicy note as is in the aroma. Remote metallic note as it warms. Sweet, malty and fruity, and mildly bitter finish with a roasted touch. Lingering malty sweetness and medium bitterness, with a grainy note and some apple. Overall a pretty middle-of-the-line beer, with a couple minor flaws, but still drinkable if in a tight spot, I guess. 11.02.12.

500 ml bottle, from NETTO, Denmark. ABV is 6%. Organic. Mahogany coloured beer, moderate off-white head. Nice aroma of malts, caramel and brown bread, some burnt notes in the background. The flavour has also notes of malts and caramel, but is not very sweet. Burnt notes and dusty hops in the finish. Not exceptional, but still one of the better beers I’ve had from Rise.
